Legend spoke of a race of warriors, of peerless beauty and extremely powerful magic. The Elven race share an ancestor with this amazing race, during the First Age when they appeared they were known by many names, among them was Fairy.
The Fairies wove spells the likes of which the mortal races had never seen, long before Humans were even capable of even the most basic spells the Fairies had already incorporated it into the very fabric of daily life.
Then came the war of gods, the Fairies were forced into hiding, the reason behind this unknown.
It was these same creatures that Ra had only heard stories about that appeared before him today, with shimmering wings they flitted around this major metropolis, Ra felt an outstanding degree of weather bear down on him.
"So powerful?" These were not enemies he wished to have, still, he could sense that there was more to this magnificent city, a vast power slept here, calling him. He would be foolish to walk away, thinking this far he made his way further in, to the heart of the city.
He hadn't taken more than a dozen steps before he was surrounded, 6 male, 6 female, with shimmering wings of different hues cut off all avenues of retreat, however, Ra's expression remained unchanged.
He turned his golden gaze on a female fairy with brilliant yellow wings similar to fading light.
She led this squad, he could tell by the aura of command she exuded in her bearing, and the vast well of power that she barely contained in her lithe figure.
"Fair folks, I am a visitor in strange lands," he began slowly, hoping they would be able to understand him.
The fairy rolled her fascinating eyes in his direction and then up into the corner toward the sky, she approached him slowly, giving pointed nods at her squad as she did so. When she stood before him she did something Ra did not expect, she ran her thumb over his bottom lip, the movement slow and practiced, like that of a lover.
Ra released an involuntary moan and the Fairy smirked, her thumb worked its way into his mouth, caressing his tongue, shivers coursed through Ra's body and he was unable to conceal the throbbing erection that had formed in his pants.
Ra no longer cared about this however, and only managed to return to his awareness when he felt the thumb receding from between his lips, as he sucked it furiously one final time.
The female fairy's face was flushed when Ra opened his eyes. He cast his gaze around, now fully conscious of what had just transpired. His face burned hotly as he avoided the gazes fixed on him.
"Are you going to speak or what!" the female fairy snapped, visibly embarrassed, she had still not removed the saliva from her thumb and her legs shook with the effort it took to remain standing.
Ra breathed a sigh of relief that he was able to understand her, "My name is Ra," he introduced himself, "Is it convenient to tell me where we are?" he asked this in an offhand manner, so as to not inspire their suspicion that he was here with ulterior motives.
"This is Alysia..." she said with a slight hint of exasperation, "And before you ask! My name is Masara!" she blurted, blushing furiously.
Ra was at a loss, "Um, okay..." he said slowly, "Anyway, about that...earlier...when you stuck your thumb in my mouth..." he trailed off, Masara's skin had turned pink, and it was showing no signs of stopping, her complexion was now a frightening shade of scarlet. A shock of platinum blonde hair now obscured her face, "Language barrier," she muttered quietly. If Ra did not have acute hearing he might not have caught it, his face lit up, "Oh! so it was a spell to remove the language barrier!" Masara nodded, Ra was quite pleased to learn this, as it would make things much easier in the future.
"Right!" Ra clapped his hands, "Why am I here, well, I'm on a quest!" he said brightly.
The redness that had flushed Masara's complexion immediately drained and was replaced with a look of excited joy at the word 'quest'. "A quest! what kind of quest? come and tell me about it!" Masara's demeanor had experienced a transformation, it was now comparable to that of a child's. She motioned for the others to stand down, passing her spear off and out of the way as she and Ra walked into the city like old friends.
Ra was delighted at the change and spared no details as he described the quest he was on, He explained how he had encountered a race of creatures bordering extinction, how he had resolved to rescue them and of his plan to teach them magic. He went on to say how this led to him seeking the source of the magic intrinsic to this land.
Masara listened with rapt attention, offering her own insights as well.
"Well, have you tested their affinity?" She asked curiously.
Ra gave her a confused look, Masara smiled, "So you haven't," she grinned, "You should at least know if they are magical creatures or not, right?" Ra maintained his stupid expression.
Masara laughed, "Honestly, do you wish to save them or expedite their deaths?!" Ra revealed a look of horror, "It's...that serious?" Masara nodded, "You cannot forcefully imbue magic, they must first have an affinity for it, all the mana in Sunis wouldn't help a species that cannot manipulate it. The flow of magic is ever present, those capable of sensing it will naturally grow attuned to it, however, this does not make them magical beings." Masara said knowledgeably.
Ra was currently in the process of picking up the pieces of his jaw that had fallen to the floor. Masara covered her mouth with a small fist attempting to stifle her laughter.
"What is Sunis?" he asked after managing to collect himself.
Masara gazed at him curiously, "Education in Magic must be severely stunted where you're from," she commented, "Sunis is the realm where all magic must flow, you might call it the heart but in truth it is a vast system of passages that allows magic to remain pure. It's a lot to explain but the crux of it is, 'Magic is the form the power takes when we call it from Sunis." she said simply.
Ra was still confused, it wasn't that he was dumb but that this was all new to him, magic is impure? its converted from Sunis? "Wait..." he said suddenly, "What do you mean 'call it from Sunis?" At this, Masara grinned, her wings fluttered as she rose several inches off the ground. Ra suddenly felt a massive pressure bear down on him as Masara cast a spell. A small orb of light now pulsed gently above her palm, "Light bringing spell," she said simply. Ra's eyes flew wide in shock, "This much power for light?!" this little ball rivaled even his most powerful attacks! Ra gazed at the orb enviously, Masara smiled, "You wish to learn?" she asked, and there was a mischievous note hidden in her voice. Ra naturally wished to learn and he quickly voiced his desire.
Masara's smile grew wider, "Give me a child, and I will teach you all I know." she stated clearly.
Ra was thrown into a chaotic state as his head swam, her request completely catching him off guard.
"Y-You want to have my child?" He did not trust his ears and he asked this seeking confirmation, to this, Masara nodded, dipping her chin sharply, she stared into his eyes, hers filled with determination and resolve.
"Mn! Do you agree?" She replied seriously, her gaze never leaving his.
Chapter 88 is almost done, unfortunately working overtime today so I'll try to upload it as soon as possible. I'm still ahead of schedule so I'm not pressed. Still, it's a pretty good chapter if I do say so myself.
