Chapitre 14: Chapter 7.1, ¿Boy meets Boy?
Si Liuqi made his way back to the dormitory. He was indeed not effected by the students' thoughts. He was already used to being bullied, not to mention that he was never effected by it.
Liuqi never felt any extreme negative emotions. Hate, grief, he had never felt any of those feelings. Sure he had felt some pain, but every time a negative feeling that could harm him surged, his mind would calm down by it's own.
"O-Old man..." asked Liuqi. "I feel very cold down in my abdomen. Is this also supposed to be a part of the ice devouring technique?"
"You should in fact be very happy you feel that way. It symbolizes that you have reached the initial mastery over the technique." Answered old man, with a tinge of amazement at his voice.
"Initial mastery? I have reached initial mastery in only one day?" Replied Liuqi. "But how was able to do it, when I wasn't practicing the technique?"
"Hmm..." The old man thought over a while before he started smirking. "You said that you are feeling cold down there in your abdomen right?"
Liuqi nodded. "Yes it feel as my abdomen is being pierced by a lot of ice needles, it doesn't hurt, but it feels really cold, feels so weird."
"The only explanation is that you possess a special type of body which can refine impurities instead of expelling them." The old man answered while continuing to smirk. "You don't even have to go through the pain of expelling impurities, how enviable..." But his last sentence was only audible to himself.
"So that's how I advanced to initial mastery? Great!" Liuqi exclaimed, and then he continued. "Did my soul power increase? How about my spirit power? I gained initial mastery over the technique so I should gain some power-ups, right?"
"About that. Gaining mastery over the technique does not increase your soul power, or your spirit power." The old man answered. "But if you want to increase your soul power, lead the refined cold qi inside your meridians, this should help you increase both your soul power and spirit power."
He then continued. "Of course it will be harder to do than regular meditation, but it's effects are a thousand times better then meditation. When you reached advanced mastery, you should be able to do both at the same time. Well to reach advanced mastery, you need to devour not regular ice, but an ice infused with soul power."
"An ice infused with ice water?" Liuqi asked.
"... Would it hurt to be more original with your words?" The old man answered while looking like (-_-").
"Sorry. I'm just too lazy, okay?" He chuckled and answered with another rhetorical question. Then his stomach growled. "... I'm hungry... Old man how am I supposed to get food when I have no money?"
"Tsk. You always come asking for help to me whenever you need, but you never say any thank yous. What an ungrateful brat." The old man spoke.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry. So now please give me an answer. I am starving..." Liuqi had just started feeling hunger as he was out of adrenaline.
"I guess if you die from starvation it will be the end for me as well. the ice should be all melted now. Turn the water into small chunks of aqua marine stone to sell." The old man said. "You should be able to sell each for about 5 silver. And to show their durability you can invite the other party to try breaking it without using any soul rings."
The Liuqi asked. "But would it hold against a soul elder, or even a soul grand master's soul powered attack?"
The old man then answered again. "It should. Probably that is."
And Liuqi then made his way to next to the cafeteria where he would use some bedding to make a stand to sell the metal (stone=metal, believe me I swear, I major mining engineering or something). But things would never go right for our lucky boi here.
"You are saying that this puny stone is able to hold against a soul elder? I don't think it can even stand straight after it gets hit by a soul grand master. Hahahahahhaha." Laughed a student who was part of 5th freshman class.
He was in fact in the same class as Liuqi, and he was angry to Liuqi as he was going to be forced to run 500 laps every morning for seemingly the rest of the school, from now on. Even though it was technically and actually their fault, children like blaming others after all.
"Oh, it's that cheat from the morning. How about you sell you soul weapons instead? Haha!" Another student from the same class added.
"Hey you! Stop being rude to him. Even though bullying is not prohibited in the school area, I will not put a blind eye to you all!" A voice came. This was a boy's voice. #waifudenial#noreversetraps.
"Huh? Who are you to say tha..." The student then stopped talking before he started trembling while continuing. "You-You are S-Su Rei? T-the 4th r-ranked on the f-freshman test?"
"That's me, you got it." Answered Song Rei.
Su Rei then looked over to Liuqi. That's when their eyes met. The time seemed to stop when it happened. The boy, actually met another boy....
