Once they finished with their food, Carson forced himself to stop thinking about the headband and focus on getting as much of the AP Chem homework done as possible for Ivy's sake. She copied him diligently, looking very much like she was doing the problems for herself by showing the work and everything.

He was always amazed how she managed to get telepathic cheating down to a science. Anybody who didn't know the truth would never be any the wiser.

With how fast he worked they actually managed to finish the assignment right as the bell rang. Good. That was one less thing for both of them to worry about. Any homework that could be finished during school was considered a victory for his poor sleep schedule.

Despite how sappy he was feeling he couldn't allow himself to think about the headband again until he was safely away from school grounds. The school might be big but the whole campus was still within Ivy's radius and she might be able to pick his voice out from a distance.
