Under normal circumstances, there are magnetic fields inside a magnet which traverse through the insides and then proceed to the outside, forming a closed-loop inside and outside the magnet.
Similar to the magnetic fields inside a magnet, the biological field of a human body also forms a closed-loop system with the outside and inside of the human body, where the most concentrated lines are inside which spread through the distance outside the body gradually dispersing out, depending on the level of the practitioner.
The higher the level of a practitioner, the more spread out their field, which may help the practitioner to better perceive the mana around.
That was the basic idea. This was what Kiel had observed after being able to perceive the Magnetic Force fields. However, at this moment, he was witnessing something completely different.
After getting pummeled by the arrow barrage, Kiel had witnessed the magnetic lines of force around the Leopard type beast to be heavily implicated and most of its biological field lines greying out.
If the magnetic strength of a magnet could be equated with the life force of a living being, then the beast was obviously at its last struggle; looking at it's wound and it's life force intensity.
However, after not paying attention to the beast for a few moments, Kiel noticed that the biological field around the beast was totally full of life, contrary to what he witnessed previously.
Although the deep wounds on it still remained in it, however, they didn't bother it as much as before, and the beast even looked like it was as the prime of its strength now.
Kiel for a moment thought that he was disillusioned. However, even after rubbing his eyes, he didn't find anything different. This could only mean one surprising thing, The beast has recovered! "But how? Did it suddenly level up?"
What was even more fascinating was that the magnetic field lines inside the Black Leopard, which were supposed to be most concentrated were actually dispersing to the outside!! How was that even possible?
From the numerous lines, many of them now we're apparently thinning out and breaking apart to the outside.
However, while this was happening, the beast was being continuously bombarded by flame spells, while the wind maid was actually knocking the charm arrow on the bow which was conjured by the charm.
But that was not all. While in the tranquil state, Kiel was extremely sensitive to external stimuli, no matter what it was. So it didn't forsake its eyes, that although the beast circled around the girls, it was mostly sauntering at the northeast direction of the girls, exactly where it was standing now!
"Guarding something? Babies? Or some treasure?" Kiel did not have the ability to receive X-rays. Otherwise, he would not be so confused now.
And there was even more to the beast! Kiel could now clearly see the extreme longing in the eyes of the beast as it looked towards the cat on the little girl's shoulder. It was a real and vivid human-like expression.
"This beast has such a high level of intelligence? Or maybe it is such an instinct?"
Out of curiosity, Kiel also activated his elemental sight, which he had shut off due to the excessive mana consumption. However, it gave him even more shock.
There was the cyan fog around the body of the Leopard which signified its wind attribute. However, now there was another layer of grey fog smudging a side of the cyan fog. Although it was less than the chan fog, it was more substantial.
What does this signify? It meant that the beast was actually a rare Dual Attributed Beast! At the same level, Dual Attributed Beasts were inherently two to three times stronger than the single attributed beasts!
What was even more startling was that the beast was using these grey fog as tentacles to actually drill underground. No… they are like The Shadow element! They are not drilling underground, they are actually using the dark underground to move!
Although he couldn't follow the tentacles underground because they did not have any magnetic component in them, he could still sense their threat. And from the looks of it, the beast was doing it for quite some time. Kiel's eyes were wide open at the alarming phenomena happening before his eyes!
Surprised by the sudden unexpected events, Kiel actually forgot to speak!
"No, I have to notify them even if they see me! What they are celebrating is actually a trap dug by the beast. Its intelligence level is actually comparable to adult humans! If they lose I will lose my precious general."
But what to do? He could not just stand up and declare his presence as it would only give the beast even more opportunity to attack and the other party may not believe him and even strike at him.
"If I cannot shout out to alert them, then I can only use that!" It seemed that Kiel had determined himself, as he tossed the sword on the ground slightly and opened a narrow pocket from his belt.
{A/N: For those who forgot, yes he is still carrying the sword! What do you expect? He doesn't even have an inventory!}
Opening his belt Kiel looked at the treasures that he had forged, with great anticipation!
Inside the pocket were five very thin steel needles and some copper wires. They were as thin as acupuncture needles but the needles had a length of only five centimetres.
You would wonder what Kiel would do with these needles? Well no, it was not for medicinal or acupuncture. Kiel was never much knowledge in his biology subjects. Although he knew what needed to be known, that's it. He didn't have any comprehensive insights into these subjects.
What was the real purpose of the needles was actually to be used as a hidden weapon. Yes, you got it right! Hidden weapons!
The day that he knew he had some telekinesis like power, he had already ordered them to be made. However, he still could not control them to such a distance or propel them forward with enough force.
However, although he could lift the needles up, it was rather too difficult to move them, much less at speeds to actually have any impact.
And recently he came to know that his talent was completely different from what he expected. And why didn't he have much development even though he never missed training himself?
It was rather simple! He was just taking the wrong approach towards his own power. Instead of the object itself, he would need to focus on the force itself. But now that he knew the reason, he could very well practice in the right way.
However, he didn't have much time to utilize the newly gained comprehension in reality. He took out three needles from a secret pocket from his bag and was about to set up his equipment when he heard a loud scream!
Peering over Kiel was actually shocking! The battle took a sudden turn. He just noticed that two of the three maids had just actually fallen down. They even had blood all over them, while some dark and grey fog was surrounding them.
Kiel just turned his head around for a moment, and BAM they fell already. The water attributed maid was also not faring well! A gaping wound was in her shoulder, while she even was struggling to even open her eyes. Everything had already transpired in a flash!
The Black leopard however now was facing the little kitten. Kiel could even see that as the kitten meowing loudly, while the beast shivered a little.
"Looks like the little kitten has a high-level bloodline, however, the beast seems to have lost its sanity!" Pity, it's cohesion won't work on it. Kiel was annoyed really this time.
His notion was not baseless as he noticed that the beast's eyes had already become totally black matching like its fur.
Maybe it was due to the kitten having a higher level of bloodline than that of the Leopard which terrified it a little as it retained its sanity, but whatever it was, it was just empty bravery now, as the beast now had lost itself.
Kiel could feel that the beast was losing its mind by the minute actually! He even saw the little kitten meowing as loudly as possible by minute like warning the beast to not come close.
Even the little princess stood there stunned with a pale face, while tiny drops of blood came out from her lips. He could even see her lips swollen. Probably she had bitten them too hard, even her legs were trembling.
At that moment, Kiel felt like the little girl was way too pitiful! It was undoubtedly that she didn't expect this particular scenario, and it was her age to play now, but here she was reeking of blood all over.
"Mi… Lady run!!" The maid consumed all her energy to just utter these words.
*Thud* As the girl's body fell down, Tia's eyes blanked out too.
"Why? Why did it become like this? Ruyi is gone, Shina has fallen and even Lia can't stand up anymore. Although Meow has a very high-level innate bloodline, it's still in its infancy stage, it cannot do anything to the Variant Black Leopard"
Tia couldn't adapt to the sudden transition that took place on the battlefield. Everything was going her way, but those black things changed everything!
Seeing the blood remains all around her in the dim night, her lips shuddered, and her eyes shimmered as she tried to hold her tears at bay.
Her legs were trembling as she witnessed the horrifying scenes of her only friends' disfigured figures, those who had accompanied her throughout her life.
They had been with her from the moment she could try to remember. But now she could only try to hold her tears back and sob silently and stare at the beast with all her might, trying to scare it away.
She was covered in dirt and mud all over. But that was never in her mind. What she was thinking was actually what she could do to distract the beast to save her friends.
All her courage and all her naivety vanished the moment she was presented with the cold cruel reality of the world. Although her companions were not dead yet, they were not far from it. And all she could do was stare at them helplessly. She couldn't even muster the courage to move.
"Why did this all happen?"
Tia could never forget how it all happened suddenly when they thought that everything was under their control. She thought that she was just near her dreams. Just a few minutes and no one in her family would belittle her anymore. However, contrary to her expectations, everything changed in those few minutes.
The beast's eyes suddenly went black and the next moment, she heard her companions' scream. Although she panicked, she didn't show it.
She quietly mustered her last bit of courage and took an arrow from her quiver but before she could even knock another arrow on her now, she saw the beast disappear in the shadows and then in the next moment appear before her.
"Princess look out!" And before she could recognise anything that was the words of Lia who was beside her.
She saw with her own eyes, the beast wrapping the shadow element around it claws which passed through the acid shield without any effort and swiped at her. However, her best friend Lia came in between her and the beast to save her, only to become the victim of the paw.
"No…" Everything changed in just a moment. She knew the beast was not that powerful, but how did it gain so much power in just a little time!
She could not figure out the mystery which cost her the life of her friend. And now it was her turn.
"Meowwwwww! Meow!"
But her Meow suddenly leapt out to confront the beast to protect its master. Although Meow had a higher level of bloodline and could cause suppression on lower level beast only by its aura, however, it was still in her infancy. So it could be so nothing to it. And the beast seemingly had lost its mind. So it could do nothing.
"No!! Not you too. Run Meow! At least save yourself!" She could only utter those words from her pale face, which was filled with tears all over. All this blood around was making her nauseous.
And just like her expectations, she saw the ferocious leopard dive at her little meow! Taking a deep bite on it. Although the small creature tried to show its superiority, it could do nothing against the brute force. It had only one thought in its mind 'Only if it had strength, it could protect its master'. It could only wish that her master would run away at its sacrifice!
Although Tia could run away, seeing the horrifying scenes of her friends dying, again and again, her legs gave way. She could not take in the fact that everything changed so suddenly. Seeing her little kid being devoured, she fell down on her knees.
All of her courage vanished. What now remained was despair.
*Thud*
But as if the beast sensed something, it left the small cat where it was and pounced up at itself. She could even see the contempt that a hunter had for its prey in its eyes.
"Everything is over!" Memories of the past flashed by her eyes as similar scenes filled her vision.
