Chapitre 39: My beautiful little princess
The bartender just smiled and served others. Sky pouted and sat on a bar stool with Loran's help.
"One beer please." Loran asked the bartender. "Same for me." Sky raised her hand and ordered for her.
Loran glared at Sky, "You are not touching alcohol."
"What the hell. Why can't I? Don't behave like my father" Sky kicked Loran's leg.
"Mr.Harley called us in the morning and told us that you shouldn't drink." Jai voice sounded behind Sky.
"One Virgin Mary to my beautiful little Princess." Jai held Sky's shoulder and whispered in her ear.
"Take your drink and come with me, I will show you his girlfriend. Don't tell him." Then he stood straight elegantly.
Sky eyes sparkled, She nodded to Jai and gave a mischievous smile to Loran.
"What's going on between you two?" Loran raised his brow and looked at them.
"We are going to meet ...." Jai interjected Sky, "To meet my friends."
"Whatever." Loran rolled his eyes at both and left with his beer.
"Miss, your Virgin Mary!" The bartender served her drink.
"Thank you!" Sky turned towards Jai, "Let's go."
Jai helped her to descend the bar stool and moved towards another end of the hall where Jai's friends were standing and had a good view to dance floor.
When they reached, Sky greeted a few with a nod and turned towards the dance floor. Jai's friends knew that Sky was the Barton brother's sister. Even they thought Sky left the town for good.
"Hey, Sky! Long-time. How are you?" A tall guy who was wearing a leather jacket asked.
"I'm Good. Thank you." Sky left no room to continue talking and she was not interested in talking with others even though they were her brother's friend.
Likewise, Jai was happy with her short reply. Even that guy was his good friend, he liked to keep them away from her sister. Indeed overprotective.
"You looking beautiful Sky, Don't tell me you joined the fashion industry?" Another guy who was in a formal suit asked curiously.
"Brother Ken, Thank you! I'm working at Harley." She gave a faint smile after recognizing him, "Excuse me." excused herself and turned to Jai.
Displeasure was clearly showing on the faces of Jai's friends who knew Sky for a long time. Some ignored but her behavior vexed Ken.
"Why this haughty behavior to us? Don't we know why she disappeared from here? isn't she the bitch who went behind an engaged guy? Poor guy, he is suffering now."
"Shut up! Sky wasn't at fault. Don't you know that? She was ..." Leather jacket guy tried to calm Ken.
But before he could finish, Somebody started dragging Ken backside by his shirt collar. Ken struggled to speak and escape but he was choked and that person was stronger.
Chapitre 40: Gentle to murderous
Ken's voice was very low which could be heard to the ones next to him. But his bad luck, Jai knew the lip reading.
The one who was dragging Ken was Jai. Jai glared at his other friends who understood that they shouldn't follow.
Loran who was peeping at his brother and sister noticed Jai and went towards them excusing himself.
Sky was asking Jai about Loran's girlfriend when she saw the changes in his expression from gentle to murderous. Sky subconsciously took a step back and checked his line of sight and noticed Ken talking.
When she turned to look at Jai, he moved another side of the table and dragged Ken. Sky panicked and stood rooted. Jai's friends started asking her to help Ken.
"Sky, Help Ken."
"Sky, You know your brother's anger before he does something, please stop him."
"Are you listening? Sky? Sky?"
Sky never gets frightened much about Mr.Harley or Mr.Barton but she was always scared of Jai's anger. If it was on her or somebody else.
Loran reached near Sky and held her arms. "Sister Sky, What happened? Are you fine?"
Loran scanned Sky head to toe and waited for her answer.
When she raised her head to saw Loran's face, tears trickled down on her face, "I.. I don't know what happened. He looked ve.. very much angry."
Jai's friends didn't dare to say anything to Loran. They knew Loran treasured his sister. So explaining would be a disaster.
Loran wiped her tears and led her out to check on Jai "Don't worry, Brother Jai will be fine. Relax"
Sky nodded and followed Loran. They asked the waiter and went behind the hall.
Ken was pinned on the wall by Jai. "Jai, let me go. What's wrong with you?"
"What's wrong with me?" Jai started laughing and stopped instantly.
"Why? aren't you also Andy's friend? Oh sorry, You are no more his friend, you don't want to associate with him anymore because you know they were wrong and they are paying for that. You! you are scared you will lose your business."
"Jai, Why are you saying all these? Let me go." Ken was scared out of his wits and didn't get to know until Jai finished saying everything.
Jai had an evil smirk, "You cared about your business than your two-decade friendship with that bastard. My sister disregarded everything and repaid with kindness. I only called you to the party because Caged is yours and you dare talk about MY SISTER"
Jai gave a few punches to his stomach, Ken yelled in pain. Jai noticed two shadows nearing them and identified them.
"Shhhhh!" Ken quietened instantly
"Don't even dare to tell anybody. If it falls on Loran's ear, you and your business will be done forever."
Jai loosened his hold, "My brother is here. Behave."
Frightened Ken, Neatened his appearance despite the pain, he put on a smile.
