Lily gave a faint smile at his naivety. She told him a small detail, "Your job scope also includes driving Ms. Sky to and fro from office to home if she needs it."
Andy curtly said, nodding his head, "Oh."
Lily faintly frowned before she shook off her thoughts. "Ms. Sky, should we include a six-months probation period? or direct employment letter?"
Sky looked at her assistant who was skipping all the rules for Andy. She drew the line, "He is also considered as a new employee like others. Explain it to him about it. Carry out the task." She got back to work on her files.
Lily made her way towards Andy and formally introduced herself by extending her hand for a handshake, "Hello, I'm Lily Abram. CEO's assistant."
"Hey, I'm Andy Gill, CEO's frie..." He couldn't finish saying friend and glanced at Sky. Then continued with a soft smile, "CEO's new Secretary. Please take care of me."
'Friend' Lily could already tell that. "As per company rules, new employees will be under probation period for six months. At the end of six months, your head will review your improvement in work and then decide on employment. Your chief is the CEO."
"Oh." He peeked at the CEO.
"When are you starting to work here?"
"From today."
Lily checked the time on her wristwatch, "It's almost the end of the working time. You can start tomorrow. Come half an hour early for a few days until you can learn to work."
"Oh…" Then he turned towards Sky, "Sky, shall I start today?"
Lily, who was holding back for a long, spoke before Sky could say anything, "Ms. Sky is the CEO of Harley, addressing her appropriately. And what's with 'oh'? Your answer should be precise and formal. Learn it soon." She disciplined the man.
Lily looked at Sky to know if she had any objections. Sky heard Lily and acknowledged the latter's professionalism. She raised her thumb to Lily, "Thanks Lily, you two carry on. I have work."
Lily led Andy towards the exit of the CEO's office as she guided the man, "Your desk will be ready by tomorrow morning and it will be outside the CEO's office and opposite to mine. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts."
"Have a seat here as of now and give me your details for further process." Lily pointed to a chair on the other side of the desk.
Andy thanked and sat down, "Thank you, Assistant Lily."
Lily called the HR department and requested to prepare an appointment letter as soon as possible. The details were sent over an email and asked to arrange a set of male clothes and send them over to her.
Later Lily sent the details to the HR department. A new set of clothes arrived by that time and Andy thanked and went to change.
Sometime later, they received the appointment letter which Andy signed.
Lily explained some rules of the company which every employee should abide by. Andy listened intently and asked questions when he had doubts.
Soon it was 5 o'clock, time to get off work. Lily was preparing to leave, "You can leave for the day. Be early tomorrow."
"But Sky... The CEO is still in the office." He corrected himself.
