Chapitre 71: Stupid

Seated on the ground, Minjae wiped away the blood from the corner of his lips as chuckles continued to leave his mouth. His eyes were attached to his father's back.

He could feel the bruises forming on different parts of his body, and pressing his hands on top of the floor, he managed to stand up. However, the sudden pain caused him to lose his stability.

Before he was able to fall down, someone moved forward and held his hand in order to support him. Bohyun wore a small smile on her face as she did that.

"Let me help you, Oppa," Bohyun spoke out, "I already told you to not go against me. Both of us are meant to be together. You should stop being rebellious and just come to me. It hurts me everytime I see you being like this."

Pulling his hand away from the girl, he moved away and scoffed at her before saying, "Do you know who looks like a bigger joke than me right now? It's you. Those delusional dreams of you will never be fulfilled."

With that, he turned his back on the lady to leave the mansion. While she stared at his figure, the smile on her face remained.

Clenching tightly the handkerchief, she mumbled, "You will realize soon enough that I am the only option for you, Minjae Oppa."

When Miyeon opened the door, she didn't expect to see a crouching Minjae standing before her. A gasp escaped from her mouth seeing the state he was at. Bruises was present over his face.

Seeing his battered state caused multiple questions to form inside of her head.

"Can I come in?" he questioned.

"Why are you even asking?" Miyeon spoke out— worry present in her tone.

"I wonder." He let out a chuckle.

Shaking her head at the male, she supported him and helped him inside of her apartment before closing the door. Carefully, she placed the man on the couch before sitting beside him.

She inspected all the wounds on his face, and extending her hand, she touched the corner of his lips. A hiss escaped from his mouth as she did that.

"You seem to be in a terrible state," she commented.

"I suppose," he said, "But now that I have seen you, I feel better."

"So, you don't want to talk about it?" Miyeon questioned.

After laughing, he spoke out, "It's quite shameful. It's just that I managed to offend the boyfriend of this girl I once flirted with, and he was quite burly. Ah! This really hurts my pride. You better not expose this to someone."

"Stupid," she stated, "I know you enough to know when you are trying to lie. You don't have to force yourself to say anything if you don't want to. I will get the first aid kit."

Before she was able to get up, Minjae gripped on to her wrist and pulled her back. Once she was seated on the couch again, he pulled her into a tight hug.
