Chapitre 16: #14 Lokal's mansion 1
Currently was early in the morning and guild was almost empty. Sid who worked behind counter was extremely bored due to no people coming for quests. Just when he thought that he will fall asleep he saw famous official who worked for Prime Minister Honest.
"Sir! How may I help you?" Still surprised Sid said while bowing to man.
"I want to make notice for bodyguard but the best would be if you could recommend someone strong for me" Man hurriedly explained.
"Well....We have few Diamond ranked adventurers but rank here doesn't always represent strength. It's about how many quests they completed" Sid instantly responded to man.
"I don't really need you to explain to me how do ranks work. I asked you for recommendation for a reason. I need strongest man here" Man was slowly getting impatient.
"There are a lot of strong adventurers so we can't tell who is strongest but maybe guy named Ryu or known by people here as Ryu the Demon can help you" Sid was already sweating from this man's demands
"Ryu the Demon? I have heard this name few times while taking walk in city. Tell me more about this guy" Man eased up a little.
Sid inhaled cold air and started explaining from very beginning. How he got famous and most importantly how everyone in guild respected him and also feared him, even Diamond ranks weren't exception.
Man started to nod while listening to Sid.
'This man is good choice'
"I would like to make personal quest for him" Man said.
"There is one thing I would like to add sir." Sid interrupted man's happy mood.
"What is it?!" Man asked in annoyed tone
"Well... He might not accept your request. He is extremely cold towards everyone and hates to be ordered around. He even broke some rich merchant's arm for telling him to get out. Later he hired some assassins to kill Ryu at daylight but all died in instant and merchant disappeared too. He doesn't fear anyone with power and money so you have to be careful when talking with him, Sir"
Man was already sweating just from hearing about Ryu's stories. 'He could be double edged sword but we need someone real fast before we find Lokal's loyal bodyguard.'
Just when man was planning to ask Sid for more information, someone opened the guild's main door walked in.
That someone was Ren who wanted to look for some quests he could complete on his way to Northern Tribes.
When Sid saw Ren he immediately greeted him with bow "Good morning mister Ryu"
Ren only nodded and kept looking for quests, he didn't even take notice of other man.
"Mister Ryu, there is personal quest for you if you are interested." Sid said to Ren
"Personal quest?" Ren asked for more information.
Sid immediately introduced man and he explained situation and quest to Ren.
'Hmm, reward is quite generous plus I have still some time before I will have to leave. It is also good chance to have more exchanges with Night Raid'
"I agree with protecting that Lokal guy's life. If he gets injured then not mine problem. I also have to leave the town in near future so I am able to take this job only for few days" Ren said to man.
Man clearly hesitated for a while but still nodded a and agreed to Ren's conditions.
Next day Ren arrived to Lokal's mansion. Lokal was already informed not to annoy him or it could cost him few limbs. Ren got his own mask since every guard here wore mask he didn't mind wearing it.
But when Shihandai heard that they had to request for personal guard he was immeadiately enraged. Second day he started taunting Ren during their training. Of course Ren didn't have to join their training and regarding Shihandai, he simply looked at him and formed mocking smile under his mask.
'You will die soon anyway'
It was currently evening of second day and Ren went to inside of mansion for the first time. He saw numerous number of women but he didn't see anyone with bruisers. It looked more of the brothel than someone's mansion. He also learned information that this world's Lokal only used Honest's power to make desperate women "work" for him.
As for Lokal, he always tried to form good relationship with Ren by offering him some "goods". It was fortunate that Lokal didn't see Ren's disgusted look through his mask.
Ren himself didn't really care for this man's life but he needed money so he just had to protect him from shadows.
Lokal was currently on balcony enjoying view with some tea. But he was inturrupted by loud sound of gun firing when he looked bit to left he saw yellow laser nearing him extremely fast, when he thought that death is nearing him someone appeared before him.. It was Ren who parried bullet but still redirected it towards Lokal's hand.
"AGH!!" Lokal's arm got torn off and he started screaming in pain.
'That's for being disgusting.' Ren thought while stopping his bleeding with help of water energy.
Lokal ordered his guards to pursue assassins of course they were no match against Night Raid and quickly died.
Somewhere in forest.
"Mission failed what now?" Tatsumi asked entire group
"What exactly happened there?!" Bulat asked Mine
"Bullet was perfectly shot and it already seemed that it would hit Lokal but one of his masked guards appeared before him and deflected my bullet and it just torn off Lokal's arm." Mine explained in annoyed tone
"I heard that Lokal's guards mostly use fists and no weapons so how could one deflect your bullet?" Bulat couldn't understand
"Because guard who deflected my bullet was using sabre you dumbass." Mine was really annoyed that she had to explain why she failed mission.
Night Raid were discussing what to do and decided to break into Lokal's mansion and kill him no matter what.

aadw I tried to make Empire less evil since even Ren wouldn't want to work with them. I tried to change Lokal. Although It wasn't much, he at least didn't kidnap women or kill them after "using" them.
Tell me your opinions if I should make some of the characters from Empire less evil, so Ren can cooperate with them a little
