Chapitre 101: A piece of a disgusting whore!
When the figure unveiled itself, their last hope was crushed into pieces. Eddie placed her palm on her head and Alice tried comforting her.
"It's okay", Alice patted her back.
"I placed so much trust in her", Eddie's voice broke.
"We saw her actual face. No more mercy", Alice sounded fierce, "Do you hear me?"
Eddie nodded with an 'mm' as she panned the camera. As expected, Millie stole the briefcase containing the newest drafts of the designs, using the key that Eddie handed her in the day. Millie, soon, sneaked out the same way she entered.
Alice started the engine as it roared to life. Millie sneaked out as Alice followed slowly from inside the car. Eddie fixed her eyes on Millie. Millie was quick on her foot as she hoarded a vehicle. More of a fancy van that can afford all your fortune yet give you the best of luxury.
"Sh*t!" Eddie punched hard at the dashboard, "What are we gonna do if they stay inside? No way, are we gonna get any evidence, are we?"
"Calm down", Alice stopped the car at a safe distance. They had been following her for more than 20 minutes. And where she stopped was in the middle of a jungle. Her eyes were fixated on the van not too far.
"I can bet that it's Jeremy", Eddie growled, "That son of a bitch. That old sleaze bag."
"Shh!" Alice whispered.
"Why? Alice?" She saw Alice opening the car door and get out of it, "Hey! Where are you going? Are you out of mind?"
Alice felt annoyed as she squeezed her eyes for a second, before walking up to Eddie's side. Eddie brought down the window glass. Alice placed both of her arms in a cross by the car window, "Can't you shut up for a while? I know what I am doing."
"Okay", Eddie raised her hand in surrender, "But why?"
"Can't you get that something is fishy over there?" Alice said as she pointed towards the van.
"What...", Eddie was stunned for a moment before she understood what Alice meant, "Ugh!"
She covered her eyes with her hands, "What the hell! I see why they are in the middle of the forest. Millie is such a piece of a disgusting whore!"
Alice chuckled at her expression, "We got hold of a bigger fish."
"Yeah!" Eddie rolled her eyes, "You are what? An automatic detector of such sh**tty things."
"Now, now", Alice cocked her head to a side as she tried pulling away Eddie's hands from her face, "How is that my fault now?"
"Of course", Eddie removed her hands and faced her, "You are the ones who discovered such things."
Eddie looked over at the van shaking violently and shook her head with disgust, "How can an old man be such disgusting? He has two kids in teens, right?"
Alice shook her head with a guilty look, "My bad."
