Why did the genre change midway?!!!

What's happening? It's dark & I hurt & I don't understand anything since I woke up? What's happening? Why the genre change midway?

It's a story written using first person point of view. It might get confusing since you get a front seat row to the inside of the character's head. I don't know if you'll like it, if you'll stick with it long enough for things to get clearer but I hope you do. This is not meant to be a romance. There may or may not be some in the future but that is not the driving force for this novel. If you're homophobic or anything that is slightly dark, different or out of the norm scares you, this is not for you. I'm not saying that my characters are gay. They may or may not be in the course of the novel if it's something that is naturally in it but that is not the driving force behind this story either. It's just a person, they're experience while they try to come to terms with changes that they never thought were possible.
