"Intentional night delivery or the flower shop is late?" Markus chuckled at seeing Jane holding the flowers and placing it on the coffee table next to them.
Jane shot a glance at Hayri, whose look turned sour for a moment. To keep up with their pretension, Jane stopped in front of Hayri, blocking Markus's vision. She then bent down and kissed Hayri on his forehead.
"Thank you," said Jane, giving Hayri a wink, indicating her pretense.
Hayri held her waist with both of his hands, but Markus cleared her throat to remind them of his presence. "You have ample time later."
Hayri laughed softly as he released her. Jane then got back to her seat, followed by his eyes. As he saw to it that she was already seated comfortably, he gave his attention back to Markus.
"Louis, is it alright to have Dr. Jane here?"
"Of course. We'll be marrying soon, and there should be no secrets between us. You can trust Jane as much as me."
