Chapitre 233: Bounty In The Hotel
Jason and Charlotte spent their days in the city enjoying their time looking around before the festival began, while they were busy enjoying and spending their time together, the city is getting ready for the grand night, homes were being checked one last time for security, these homes were placed with large steel barriers that kept the people who didn't want to participate in the festival safe, but that always didn't mean they were safe.
Some people went as far as taking down these barriers for killing the people inside the house, many people who were waiting for this day have already started preparing things, funfair or crime fair, people just call it the funfair of the tortious day but it's just blatant crime, people go around this fair bidding for people's life, once someone is sold to them, they can do anything to the ones they bought.
Just two days to go before the festival night and the hotel that they were staying in called up a meeting for all the people that are in their hotel.
It was a party held by this hotel, and since it was free food how could Jason ignore it, he and Charlotte stood in the hallway surrounded by people who are also guest at this hotel.
"Do you have any idea why this meeting is kept?"
Jason asked Charlotte.
"I think I do, I think they are going to offer protection in exchange of fees"
Charlotte said.
"I see, so what happens to the ones who don't pay any protection fees?"
"Well they are allowed to do anything, no protection will be allowed to them, they will also not be allowed to stay in the hotel during that time"
Charlotte said.
"Looks like these hotels profit a lot during the festival"
Jason said.
"Indeed, they make a lot, but the security they put in these hotels are all top-notch so the safety of the ones who are staying here are guaranteed"
Charlotte said.
"So we won't be getting any safety I guess"
Jason said and laughed.
"Indeed, we won't"
Charlotte said as they drank the wine that was served to them. When they suddenly noticed someone entering the hall.
"Hey, isn't that one of those bounties?"
Jason asked as he saw the middle-aged man with a long black beard walked in.
"Indeed, he is the one"
Charlotte said in surprise, she didn't expect one of the bounty to actually be staying inside the hotel itself.
"By the way why is he staying here?"
Jason asked.
"I don't know, it's very strange for a man like him to be in this hotel, from what I know they don't like to bee in public, it's weird to see him here"
Charlotte said.
"Interesting, so what is going to happen now?"
Jason asked.
"Well, now we have to wait and watch, see what this man is really doing here"
Charlotte said.
Jason nodded and took another sip from his wine glass, soon the owner of the hotel walked in as well with a woman by his side, she seems to be his wife.
They walked towards the stage and started to announce about the festival and the precautions they are taking, he then boasted about the security system in the hotel, he explained the same thing what Charlotte said to Jason.
"This is boring"
Jason said and waited till the long speech was over, his eyes are fixed on the bounty as he is curious about all this that is happening in the city.
As the party ends, Jason sees the bounty walk away.
"Do you want to follow him?"
Jason asked.
"I don't know should we, we cannot kill him right now as it might be a crime"
Charlotte said.
"Who said anything about killing, I wanted to talk to that man, that's all"
Jason said and smiled.
"Then let's go and follow him"
Charlotte said and grabbed his hand and pulled him away, soon they followed the bounty as he walked into the elevator, Jason and Charlotte followed him and walked in as well, they walked behind the bounty and stood there.
The middle-aged man frowned as he could smell Charlotte, he could tell she is supernatural, as for Jason he didn't find anything weird on him, just a normal human.
The man pressed a button on the elevator as the door closed.
"What a coincidence we are also heading to the same floor don't mind us"
Jason said and put his arms around Charlotte which made her squeak a little, this of course caused the man to get distracted, he noticed that man and the supernatural woman behind him are actually making out, he couldn't believe what is happening behind him.
'Such shameless people, this generation is ruined'
The man thought.
The reason that Jason started to make out with Charlotte was that he noticed the man being wary of Charlotte, so he decided to distract him from his thoughts while also having fun with Charlotte.
They soon arrived at the floor the button was pressed, the man waited for the door to open and walked out, he peeked once inside the elevator and saw Jason's back while Charlotte's legs were around him.
He felt his blood rushing down there and walked away cooling off his mind.
Jason stopped kissing Charlotte, she took a deep breath and stared at him.
"You know we cannot do that in public right?"
Charlotte said.
"I know but that man noticed you, I decided to distract him while having some fun"
Jason said.
"How?"
She asked.
"I think its how you smell"
Jason said.
"Do you think I smell?"
Charlotte asked as she got annoyed.
"Babe, everyone has a smell, I think he noticed you be a supernatural so I did that"
He said.
"Ah, yes, I completely forgot to put on my perfume, that must be the reason"
Charlotte realized this and felt embarrassed.
"Well anyway, let's follow him"
Jason said and walked out of the elevator and saw the man entering a room and closed the door behind him.
Chapitre 234: TDFO
"Where did he go?"
Charlotte also walked out as she adjusted her dress.
"He walked into the room"
Jason said.
"Should we go in?"
Charlotte asked.
"Well he has a bounty on him, if we just capture him its not a crime"
Jason said and walked towards the room that the middle-aged man entered, Charlotte followed him, they stood in front of the door and knocked on it.
"Who is it?"
They heard the voice of the man from inside.
"Room service"
Charlotte said.
"Wait"
The man said and he walked towards the door and as soon as he opened it his face met with Jason's fist, the man went flying and crashed onto the couch.
The man stood up and coughed out a teeth, he stared at Jason with anger and realized it was the same man he saw in the elevator, at first he thought it was just a human but now he is cautious, as he is trying to think what he will do next, he saw a blur and the next second he was already in the air while his neck being held in Jason's hand.
He is shocked as well as Charlotte, she didn't expect her lover to be this strong.
The man who has a bounty on his head tried to struggle but it was of no use.
"Ok calm down and answer to me, or I will take you and hand you to the authorities of the supernatural"
Jason said.
"NO, don't do that, they are monsters, if you hand me over to them they will kill me or even worse torture me"
The man said.
"Oh, so you are telling the authorities are the real trouble makers huh?"
Jason asked.
"Yes, this festival is just there for them to gain power and profit and the worst part of all, they actually hold meetings on who gets how much profit after the festival ends, its a huge scam"
"So you are trying to stop them by destroying their products by ripping the bodies into shreds"
Jason said.
"No its all a lie, they are just making this up, I am one of the leaders of a group who are against them, they are using this bounty to get rid of us"
The man said.
"Oh, so the ones who made those posters are lying?"
Jason asked.
"Of course they are, why would anyone try to create such a stupid festival, the beings in power here are corrupted, and out organization plans to remove them"
The man said.
"Why should I believe you?"
Jason asked.
"You don't have to believe me, you can see it for your self, during the festival our group will go and launch an attack on this government organization called TDFO, they are cruel people who made this festival for their own benefit and if we don't stop them now, they will spread this culture all over the continent and it will be bad"
The man said.
"So where is this headquarters of this so-called TDFO?"
Jason asked.
"It's in the central city, high state building, you can check it out yourselves"
The man said.
"Good, we will look into it"
Jason said and knocked the man out by hitting the back of his head and rendering him unconscious.
"Wow I thought I knew about the TDFO but it looks like there is more to this, one this is for sure we cannot let them expand this culture of this festival to the whole continent"
Charlotte said.
"I understand, this can lead to another war that may cause even extinction, there is already a war coming if another war happens, this continent will be in ruins.
Well to be honest Jason doesn't give a crap about this continent, he is just here for the land of the witches but since he has stumbled upon this gold mine he decided to loot it and it will also help him in making progress in his relationship with Charlotte, the more she loves him the more he is in control.
"So what do you plan to do?"
Charlotte asked.
"Let's go and check it out, I want to see what is happening"
Jason said.
"What about your plan? didn't we decide to go with those girls that you met?"
She asked.
"Don't worry about it, I just wanted to see what the humans will do during the festival but it looks like there is an even more interesting thing to do"
Jason said.
"I like it"
Charlotte said and laughed.
"Let's go and prepare for the festival"
Jason said and walked out of the room, he let the man go because he wanted to see what this idiot will do.
"What are you going to do after going to the TDFO headquarters?"
Charlotte asked.
"Of course, extort from them, the better offer they provide the better chance they have of leaving the building alive"
Jason said.
"Why do you want to extort them?"
Charlotte asked.
"You know about the situation of the supernatural world right?"
"Yes, a cold was is being held right now, don't know when it's going to burst"
Charlotte said.
"Indeed and for this war, money is needed and I need a lot of it as I am planning something"
Jason said.
"What are you planning?"
"When the time comes I will tell you"
Jason said and smiled.
"Ok"
They both walked into their room since it was already night time.
