Chapitre 88: Photos
Jason got back to his hotel where he saw Sara waiting for him, she had already prepared things to eat, he eat what she made and waited for Maya to come back.
After hours of waiting, where he totally forgot about her and watched horror movies the whole time, he got disturbed by a doorbell ring.
"Sara check who is it"
Sara nodded and walked towards the door and opened it to see Maya outside, holding her camera.
"Who is it?"
Jason asked
"Its the girl from yesterday"
Sara answered.
"Let her in"
Jason said as he looked at the TV screen, he saw a woman being chased down by weird looking dogs in the woods as they howled and growled.
Maya walked in and looked at the screen as well and felt a shiver run down her spine as she saw the dog-like creatures jump down and pin the woman to the ground and rip her throat off.
Jason turned around and looked at her.
"Are you not comfortable with such things?"
He asked.
"No, I don't like blood"
"I see, sit down we will discuss today's event"
Jason said and changed the channel to some random music one.
"Here, I found something really interesting things around the palace"
Maya said and handed him the memory card from her camera, Jason took it and inserted it in the laptop on the table, he then started to go through the photos carefully, the beginning while going through the photos he didn't notice anything until he came across one in particular, it seems to be a picture of a wall and there is something written on it, but in this photo the writings couldn't be seen at all, the photo seemed very distorted, it was like someone put a swirl filter in it.
"Why did this picture end up like this?"
Jason showed the picture to Maya, seeing the picture Maya also seemed very confused.
"I don't know, I didn't even touch the memory card, I brought this directly to you"
She said and frowned.
"Do you remember what this picture is about?"
He asked as he thought that this wall seemed very weird.
"Yes, this wall was plated with gold and some rare stones but right in the middle were some weird writings, well they looked like writings but I don't know what it is about"
"Did you find anything weird about this place?"
"Yes, when I was spotted taking pictures here, some men came and stopped me, they snatched my camera but I had already swapped the card so they found nothing but an empty card"
Maya said.
Jason thought for a while and looked at her.
"Will you be ok if I take this memory card?"
"Yes, you can keep it"
"Thank you, you should go and take some rest"
Jason said and started to look at the picture.
"Ok then I will be taking my leave"
Maya left and Jason started to go through the other pictures, he only found two pictures with distorted photos, and they were both from the same area.
"Let me send this to Derry, he might be able to find something"
Jason then sent these to photos to Derry and called him right after.
"Hello?"
"Yes, Derry, I sent you two pictures, tell me if anything is wrong with them"
"Wait a minute"
Derry said and went silent for a while, after a minute he returned back.
"These photos are weird, this is how the image was captured by the lens, I went through the properties and the lense specified on it doesn't have this functionality, that means when light entered the lens it was destroyed from the beginning to get this kind of pictures"
As Jason heard what Derry said he found it weird, what could possibly cause the light to get distorted.
"What do you think caused this distortion of light?"
"I don't know, light can be bent but the way this image is captured I cannot really tell how on earth this picture could even exist"
"What do you mean?"
"As we all know light travels in a straight path but in this picture light is curling around"
Derry said as he couldn't even believe what he is currently saying
"So you are telling me that finding a raw picture is near impossible"
"Yes, but brother where did you find this?"
Derry asked
"Let's just say Banor is a very weird place"
Jason answered
"I hope you don't cause any trouble there"
Derry said and laughed.
"Ok, I will have other things to do, will call you when I need something"
He ended the call and sighed.
"Let's continue this tomorrow, I am too lazy to do anything right now".
Jason said and got up turned back the horror movie as he saw a man with a gun in his hand walking in the same forest where the woman just got her throat ripped.
"What an idiot, bringing a gun to a supernatural fight"
Jason commented.

Chapitre 89: Esel?
Next day Jason woke up very early, Sara beside him is still sleeping, he took a quick shower and put on some random clothes and walked outside.
He took out a cigarette from his pocket and light it up and took a deep one, he then walked towards the pool to cool off as he smoked.
As he looked at the orange sky which looks very beautiful as he watches the sun slowly rise from the east.
"I should call that bran and ask him more about these princesses"
Jason thought as he spent his time alone enjoying the peace and quiet of the city as no vehicles were active right now, he just laid there on a chair and closed his eyes.
As the sun reached a little higher and the atmosphere became warmer Jason opened his eyes and looked at his hand, the cigarette seems to have turned into ashes and he didn't even realize it when it happened.
"I think my resistance to pain is growing slowly, I didn't even feel the burn from that"
He wiped his hand off from the little ashes that were stuck between his fingers.
"Let's head out to the city and call this idiot"
He got up and walked outside the hotel and around the city, he decided to take a look around the whole city before he causes some kind of catastrophe.
He decided to enjoy his time before calling Bran and talk with him about the princesses, he just wanted to figure out what was going in Banor city and if maybe try to get something that could profit him, but now he has completely different ideas, those bitches tried to make a move on him and Jason never tolerated someone trying to aim for his life.
But he didn't go after everyone who tried to aim for his life, just like that kid who sent those bodyguards to break his legs, he didn't even put these people in his eyes, they have less significance in his eyes than insects.
Now that he is exposed to this new world, anything related to humans didn't interest him at all unless it is related to some huge nation level company or related to the government.
He just enjoyed his time around this huge city for two whole days and nothing else, drinking and going to clubs at night and sightseeing in the morning.
After two days he went to the same alley where he broke some bones of those men in suits, as he reached there he saw Bran is already waiting for him.
He had asked Bran to meet him here to talk about the princesses.
"What do you want me to do?"
Bran went straight to the point.
"I want to ask you some questions before we get to the main point"
Jason asked
"Sure"
"Do the princesses feed something to the victims who are going to be inserted with Soul-Leeches?"
"Sometimes, people who have strong inner strength are hard to break down and it becomes harder for a Soul-Leech to be inserted in one's body, a magical power called Esel is fed to the victim, he or she will soon start to feel anxious for nothing, soon little things will start to scare him or her, then they might even go into a mental breakdown for no reason, this will ease up the process of the ritual in inserting a Soul-Leech from an old body to a new one"
Jason thought about this for a while, he could have been fed this Esel but he was not sure if he was really fed this Esel.
He knew he cannot be affected by these things because of his bizarre healing, so he has no idea about being fed this Esel.
"Anything else that could be fed to have the same outcome?"
"No, only Esel should do this, it not only affects the mental state of the person but also the astral state"
"Astral state?"
"It means soul state"
"I see, so only Esel can do this?"
"Yes, Esel is actually the ashes of a tree called Elgen that is found in the demon realm, it is a spiritual tree which feeds on the soul of the dead"
"Ok, enough talk about the demon realm I don't want to talk about it, tell me if there is anything that the Princesses are scared of?"
"I think I know about this, as of now in this city I am the most experienced Soul-leech in the city. When the old Soul-leech of my host's body was doing some research he found out that the two sisters are scared of this person called Lezak, I don't know who he is but he once arrived in the city to check something, all the Soul-Leeches were called to the palace, the old Soul-Leech noticed that the sisters were scared of this man.
"Do you have any guess who this Lezak could be?"
"I think he might be one of the heads of the Soul-leech society, he may be more than 2000 years old from the aura he was releasing back then".
"Hm, I see, ok let's talk about your role tomorrow"
"What about tomorrow?"
"You will join me and visit the palace to meet the princesses"
"Why do you need me?"
Bran was startled.
"You will find out about it when the time is right, meet me tomorrow outside the palace, morning at 11 AM".
