Chapitre 49: A Different Kind Of Torture?

As the mage leader fell to the ground, he heard a faint gunshot, he felt excruciating pain in his knee area, he looked at his knee and saw a hole from which he could look to the other side, blood gushed out of it like a fountain.

The Mage leader was scared, he got back up and started to escape by hoping with just one leg, his facial expression showed dread, he didn't know why he is suffering so much.

He cursed his superiors for sending him to fetch such a tiny piece of Blue Silver.

He heard another faint gunshot and he fell to the ground again as his face went first to the dirt.

He started to cry as snot ran out of his nose, he heard footsteps approaching him, he knew it was over but he still put on some courage and turned his body to look at the one who is approaching him.

He saw Jason smiling at him as he held a gun with a long barrel in his hand.

"Oh my god, I didn't know you would fall, I was doing some target practice, looks like I missed"

Jason said as he crouched down as he pointed Loviatar at the Mage leader.

The Mage leader is trembling in fear, he looked at what he thinks to be the grim reaper himself with dread.

"Cant you use magic to heal your leg? Or maybe create an artificial leg?"

Jason said and his smile got wider, seeing no response from the Mage leader, he got bored.

"Haa, it's so tiring to kill, I should go on a vacation after this"

Saying so Jason pulled out Azrael and shot the head off of the Mage Leader, blood gushed out like a fountain and splattered all over the dry ground covered with dirt.

Jason got to his feet and looked at the dead bodies.

"Someone is going to find them right? Hehe"

Jason grabbed the Mage leader's corpse by its leg and dragged it to the center, he then slowly dragged one body after the other and placed them in an alphabetic manner.

After doing the deed, he took away the Blue Silver and kept it in his pocket.

"Now that this is over let's go to the place where I asked Ana to come"

Jason disappeared from the spot, it didn't mean he knows teleportation, he is just really fast.

On the north side border of Freyton city, near the forest entrance, an SUV is parked, inside the SUV Rodes is tied up, his mouth is strapped, his hands and legs are tied up, his powers are nullified by the next collar he is wearing, and he has a boner.

Rodes clicked his tongue and tried to figure out who this person is, he already somehow came to a conclusion that this person is behind the Blue Silver.

As Jason got near Rodes was finally able to properly look at Jason, and when he saw Jason he looked very familiar to Rodes.

"How did it go?"

Jason asked as he held Ana's hips and brought her closer.

"It went fine master, that bastard William is dead, his body must be rotting back there"

Ana said with a very respectful voice.

"Good, now let's meet our guest"

Jason said as he looked at the faint outline he could see from behind the window of the SUV, the glasses were tinted so Jason couldn't see clearly but Rodes could.

Ana opened the door to reveal Rodes tied up with a collar on his neck.

"Oh would you look at that, how are you mister Rodes?"

Jason said as he put on a kind smile on his face.

Rodes is not an idiot, he knows what this kind of smile means it means that this person wants to play with his life, Rodes felt a shiver run down his spine.

He decided to co-operate with Jason, he knows when to lower his head or bend his knee, if it means to survive.

Rodes keeps getting a feeling that he has seen Jason somewhere but he couldn't put it together, then it suddenly dawns on him.

Ana moved in, took out a knife and cut off the strap over his mouth

"It's you".

Chapitre 50: Interrogating Rodes

"It's you"

Rodes finally recognized Jason, he had seen this young man at the Auction Manager's office, he had seen this young man frown, he thought it was unusual but he looked just like a normal human so he didn't give much attention to him.

"Oh? Looks like Mr. Rodes recognized me, well nice to meet you once again, I am Jason Born. I already know who you are so no need to introduce yourself, but I do have some questions for you"

Rodes didn't know what to do, no matter how he looked at Jason he looked like a normal human, but he is not that foolish to believe it, how can a normal human have control over a hunter with a bloodline.

Rodes decided to play safe and answer Jason's questions.

"Ok then"

Rodes said as he looked at Jason, he wanted to figure out what Jason is, is he a hunter or something else.

"First question, where is your headquarters?"

Jason started off easily.

"In the country of Bajan, every state in Bajan has a headquarters. The underworld of the whole continent is situated there"

Jason was surprised by this.

'So Bajan is the biggest import and export of illegal goods'

"Tell me why are you after the Blue Silver?"

Jason asked

"Are you the one who stole it?"

Rodes asked dodging Jason's question, suddenly Ana kicked him in his stomach.

"You filthy dog, Master is the one who is asking the questions"

Ana said coldly.

Rodes gritted his teeth and cursed Ana inside.

"The underworld of Gaman is putting huge pressure on the underworld of South Cobia because of the stolen Blue Silver, the amount that was stolen can be said to cost more than the yearly financial rates of a whole country. They just used the dead in that ship as an excuse to put the government pressure as well, I was sent here to investigate and find the culprit and maybe retrieve the Blue Silvers back"

Jason thought about it for a second.

'The Blue Silver I have comes from Gaman continent, does it means Gaman is the main source of Blue Silver?'

"How are Blue Silvers made?"

Rodes frowned as he heard this question.

'Is he not the person behind the Blue Silver robbery, even if he is why would he ask such a stupid question, well I don't want to get kicked by that bitch again, let's just play along for now'

"Blue Silvers are naturally created in the depths of large mountains which is nutrition with an enormous amount of mana"

Rodes said as he looked at Jason's expression, but it was of no use, Jason didn't show any sign of surprised or understanding, he is keeping a poker face all the way.

'So Blue Silver cannot be manufactured? This is good then'

"Now, let's talk about the underworld, tell me everything you know about underworld"

Rodes hesitated, he cannot tell anything about the underworld or it would be like betraying her for good and he cannot afford that.

Seeing Rodes hesitate Jason started at Rodes, his iris's outer circle glowed red and Rodes fell into a trance for a second.

"Now tell me about the underworld"

Jason said once again but this time he said it like an order than a question.

Rodes nodded and started to tell everything he knows about the underworld.

"The underworld is a very large faction, it has all kinds of beings ruling it, there are humans who know about the existence of the supernatural, these humans are being constantly hunted down by the hunter organization, either to make them forcefully put them under their control or do experiments on them.

The underworld is run by mutants and supernatural beings, they command everything that happens in the whole continent.

Mutants who ran away from the organizations are also welcomed in the underworld, for mutants underworld is a paradise, they could do anything there, they aren't restrained to use their powers, and there is a very strict rule binding everyone from going into a frenzy killing streak.

The Underworld is the main way the big factions of the supernatural to transport goods and do business, by hiding from the human eyes.

The underworld is like a curtain separating the humans from the supernatural if the underworld crumbles the supernatural cannot be hidden forever.

As for who runs all this is her, the most beautiful woman in the world"

As Rodes start to talk about this woman, he became like a crazy fanboy again, seeing this Jason frowned.

Jason figured out that this woman is dangerous, by looking at Rodes, he knows he is under manipulation, just like how Ana is under his.

"Her na-"

As Rodes was about to speak her name, he started to choke, he suddenly started to vomit blood at an extreme rate.

Jason was startled by the sudden development, he looked at Ana.

"Did you poison him?"

"No master, I just hit him a little"

Jason turned back to look at Rodes and noticed that his eyes were filled with fear and regret, Jason realized that before a person dies they will come out of his manipulation and realize that they are going to die.

Rodes looked at Jason and soon his vision got bland and his lifeless body dropped down.

'Just before he was about to tell this woman's name he died, hahahahaha, now I am really interested in finding out who she is, too bad Rodes died, I could have used him to infiltrate the underworld, looks like I have to find someone else, and I still have more questions which are unanswered, like the woman he met the day before yesterday and the thing he received from her.'

Jason thought as he looked forward to meeting this woman.
