Ethan woke up late but he didn't see Stacy beside her. Their butler said that she went out early in the morning after she came back from her morning jogging. Where could she be on her day-off? Ethan asked his self.
Ethan just finished with his shower when he received a call from Shawn, the head of his security men.
"We are able to get some information from the men, Sir." Shawn reported.
"Okay good. I'm coming." Ethan answered before he disconnected the call.
He also asked Mr. Tanner to bring Eli to the ancestral mansion before he left the house. Ethan together with Larry drove to one of their retreat house where their men usually stay and train. Their retreat house seemed ordinary but when you went underground, it looked like a military base.
Mr. Shawn met Ethan and Larry at the entrance gate then they went directly to the underground where some men were being kept and tortured. There were three men tied in chairs. One would feel pity for them at first glance since they were covered in sweat and blood. Larry wanted to throw up but he tried to maintain his composure.
Ethan dismissed the people inside the cell then he sat opposite the prisoner.
"Tell me, who are you?" Ethan asked the weak man in front of him.
"Who I am is not important. I am bounty hunter." Ethan was shocked. Bounty hunter? Didn't they only work in the underground world? But what were they doing here? Ethan had a lot of questions.
"Does that mean that these men with you are also bounty hunters?" Ethan inquired.
As far as he remembered, they got these people when they followed Stacy. These people attacked her before.
That night, he was about to fetch Stacy but he received a call that she wouldn't be able to go home with him. Ethan was about to go home when he saw Stacy got out from the building and she was acting weird so he asked Larry to follow her. He saw her went inside a pet shop then came out holding something. It was getting weirder so they kept following her. They saw the cab stopped in a corner so to avoid being seen, the black SUV that Ethan used was parked at a distance.
He observed Stacy at first.
Why was she wearing a mask? He was confused. He was watching her closely. Then he was surprised when Stacy knocked those two men before running towards a certain apartment. What was she doing? He thought.
He ordered Larry to bring out his gun hidden carefully inside the car then call for back up silently.
He couldn't see Stacy anymore so he got off the car and tried to approach the two bodies lying on the ground. He felt their pulses, good thing they were not dead! Then he heard some clatters at one of the apartment rooms. He was about to follow Stacy inside but he saw the apartment room at the 3rd floor lit up. He could see a shadow of a girl? No it was a woman! And four men? She was cornered!
Stacy!
Ethan was alarmed when he saw Stacy jumped out the window. Damn! He wanted to approach and help her so bad but he halted. He couldn't afford to be seen!
Baanggggg! He shot the guy on the window who was about to pull the trigger. Then he tried to shoot the others but they already ducked. When he saw that Stacy already runoff, he called his men to seized those armed guys. They brought them to their retreat house for interrogation.
Did Stacy usually do these kinds of stuffs? He didn't really know. He was not sure either. But he needed to find out why. He shifted his gaze to the bounty hunters.
"Why are you here? What do you need from Stacy?" Ethan continued.
"Stacy?" The guy questioned. "Who is she?" He creased a brow.
"Don't tell me you do not know the woman you're about to kill that night?" Ethan was losing his patience.
"Ohhh! Aisha! I didn't know she has a lot of persona. No wonder we had a hard time catching her." The man laughed.
"What do you need from her?" Ethan's voice was filled with anger.
"Why do I have to tell you? I thought you knew her? You should have known the reason." The man was testing him.
Ethan grabbed him by the collar. "Don't try my patience bastard! Cause I can kill you if I wanted to!" He threatened him before he let go of him.
"Once again let me ask you, what do you need from her?!" He punched the desk.
"Even if you kill me, it doesn't change the fact that Aisha is the most precious target of all time in the underworld. Her life has the highest bounty. So even if you kill me, there are more bounty hunters coming after her!" The guy laughed crazily.
"Why?! why her?!" Ethan was aggravated.
"Don't you know that she is a mafia heiress?" The hunter answered. Ethan was stunned. He just couldn't believe what he heard. Ethan knew that she was different, but he never knew these things about her.
"What did you say? Can you tell me more?" Ethan probed.
Ethan simply didn't know.. hehe
