Nii-sama? I want some candies too. Give me..." Aya handed out her hands to receive the candies she asked but the boy beside him didn't act like he heard her.
Everyday, he would succumb to her wishes just not make her cry. Just like that day. She would often follow him all day. Asking him ridiculous questions from time to time.
"Nii-sama? Is heaven true? If it is... I want to go there too and visit my grandma.. I missed her..." she blurted out while staring at the blue sky.
The weather was good and she followed him that day too like the usual.
They were neighbors on that small and secluded neighborhood somewhere in Japan but then, they would end up being strangers from then on.
"Nii-sama?" Aya asked him when she noticed that the boy beside her didn't talk for a long time now.
He looked at the little girl beside him with so much in his mind. He was reluctant to part with her as he found her adorable.
It was around noon and it's time to have lunch so they had to head back to each other's houses.
"I'll get going then... Bye bye Aya... I'll miss you.." he said sadly.
"Don't be sad nii-sama... I'll be here alright... So don't be sad okay?" she comforted him but it only added to his reluctance to part with his only friend. As he did not know if he could come back to this place.
Later that afternoon, his own mother dragged him to the airport where his father's men were already waiting for him to board the private plane.
His mother had been hiding the pain she felt inside her but her eyes betrayed her.
"I don't want you! I don't need you! You're just a baggage I endured because no one else wanted you! So go! Don't ever come back! You don't have a place here!" his mother pushed him towards the men yet he relentless shook his head.
Tears streamed down on his face as he cried because he really didn't want to go and part with his only family.
Back then, he doesn't care if his father was rich and they were poor as long as he could see his own mother everyday.
He was 10 back then and now, he's thirty. He wondered how did the little girl grew up without him. When he returned to that small town, what awaits him was the graveyard of his mother and the missing little girl.
He came back a little late. Whenever he thought about it, it surely would affect his mood for the entire day.
This made him search for this little girl in the whole Japan and leads brought him to the news that her parents were divorced and she was brought away by her mother.
Then it stopped there.
He dropped his searched as he focused on expanding his business and through this, he could ask relevan information about her and his time won't be so spent.
As his usual routine, during three in the afternoon, he would take a break and be alone inside his office even though, he's the only one who's inside during the whole time. It only meant that he's not going to be disturbed by anything unless it's news about her.
As it's three in the afternoon, the secretary put the DND sign on his doors to inform people that he's on his 'me time'.
He looked at his drawer that was full of pictures of her when she was still in the kindergarten, then when she's in middle school and then now, that she's on her high school. Even when the time that Aya was ran over by a car and was sent to the hospital.
He looked at the recent photos of her with tenderness on his face. He looked at them lovingly.
She picked up the picture of Aya when she was younger and kissed it.
Savoring the moments that they shared together and the times that the little devil had tempted him to do things for her willingly.
Those moments kept him sane. It was the pillar he grabbed when he's trying to survive in the cruel world of his father.
His mother was dead and he knew why.
But those people will just have to wait when he's began to unleash his wrath upon them. He will make them crawl and beg for their lives.
Especially his father. The very own flesh and blood father that tore him apart from his mother. He will not let him get away with it unscathed.
The one hour he had would be his only time to think about her and his plans for her. He did not have anytime for her.
So when the clock turns four, the secretary removed the DND sign and came in to the office to brief him about his evening schedule.
"Mr. President... You have a meeting with Lin Industries this six and then you have another meeting with Furokawa Holdings... and after that you are free for the rest of the evening..." the secretary said in a respectful and professional manner.
"Okay..." he shortly replied. He went back to signing some of the contracts that was left on his table and it was the only ones who were left.
