Chapitre 7: One Year later
It has been one year since Celestia met Cepheus, and they have been growing closer, to the point of making Celestia's brothers drinking vinegar. When their engagement was announced to the extended family members, Celestia's cousins always came over to visit her the same day as Cepheus, it was like as if her cousins are the one visiting Cepheus instead of Cepheus visiting Celestia. Celestia didn't understand how they do it, not even the author but they just manage to come over like every time Cepheus comes to play with her.
Celestia has been working hard increasing her magic, she has been practicing spells, as well as making new potions to keep her mana up. she has also been exercising with the twins and been advancing her magic along with them. Everyone started calling her a prodigy as Celestia could do more advance spells for a beginner.
Celestia is growing up more beautiful and has become a very successful business child. She is also a very important figure to both the commoners and nobles. Ever since Celestia's engagement has been known among her family members, her brothers have been keeping her locked up in the house without Celestia the involved party noticing. Well, you can't blame her in her past life she lived in the laboratory so it didn't matter to her if her brothers lock her up or not.
Cepheus comes and visits Celestia at least three times or more a week, most of the time they will always be in Celestia's lab which is the greenhouse. Today like usual all her cousins are over and Cepheus too. They are all currently in the laboratory, drinking tea and eating cake, while Celestia is walking around checking on her plants.
"Celestia, is this a new plant?" Cepheus ask as he was following Celestia around her big greenhouse.
"Yes this flower is name Falling Grace, this flower is a poison, when you turn it into powder or liquid it can slowly kill a person in its sleep. However, leaving it as a flower-like this it's fine sniffing its scent it won't kill you."
Celestia explains slowly while inhaling a little of the sweet white flower. Cepheus quietly watches Celestia take care of her flowers and plants while asking questions and learning about its names and purpose.
"Cepheus your birthday is next week, you're turning 10 am I right?"
Celestia spoke up suddenly remembering the most important event that may cause her downfall. She still has a mission which is avoiding her death flags.
"Yes, I'll be celebrating it with my grandparents in Nirvyn(Ner-Vine) where my mother is from." Cepheus answers calmly.
Celestia hands stop for a moment and this didn't miss Cepheus eyes as he was watching every movement of her.
"That's right your mother is a royal princess from Nirvyn, Cepheus that means you're a prince right," Celestia said with an innocent smile.
She picks up a red hibiscus and hands it to him.
"Since we won't be able to celebrate your birthday this year I'll gift you this flower" Cepheus looks at the flower in his hand and chuckles.
"Isn't this your favourite hibiscus, a beautiful crimson colour with gold in the center. you rarely handout this flower to anyone not even to your brothers" Cepheus said but he still kept the flower.
"Yes but this flower reminds me of you, the red colour like your eyes that looks intimidating but it's very gentle and kind," Celestia said innocently.
Cepheus heart skipped a beat, as he tightens the flower in his hand. Cepheus looks away from Celestia, as his hands cover half of his face.
"What's wrong Sky?" Celestia asks as she notices his odd behaviour.
"Don't say that to anyone else Star," Cepheus said seriously as he cough in his hands.
"What do you mean, I only told you this because it's true," Celestia said innocently with a cute pout.
Cepheus reach out and pinch her cute chubby cheeks.
"Good only say it to me." Cepheus said softly with a smile.
Celestia saw his soft smile and cutely blink.
"Whatever"
Celestia looks away and continue to check up on her plants. Cepheus chuckles as he enjoys to his moments with her.
A week has passed and it was Cepheus birthday in three days, today Celestia is heading to Cepheus house as a surprised. Celestia decided that to avoid the death flag she must be there in person to save Cepheus mothers death. This is Celestia's first time visiting Cepheus, well her first time outside of the marques castle.
"Why are all of yous coming with me?"
Celestia looks at all her brothers with an annoyed expression.
Luciel, Charlie, Elliot and Lucas were sitting in the carriage with Celestia.
"Cepheus is a friend of mine and I want to see him off" Luciel said calmly while reading his book.
"Father told me to protect you and it's your first travel." Charlie said calmly with a gentle brotherly smile.
"Well you're travelling so we both decided to go with you since it sounded fun," Elliot said innocently while Lucas agreed with a blank face.
Celestia purposely didn't tell them about her travel to Cepheus house, because she knew they will be like this however it seems like all her brothers have ears and eyes everywhere in the castle. Celestia sigh and decided to sleep throughout the ride. It takes 1 hours to get there by two Pegasus in the air. When they almost arrived Lucas lightly tap on Celestia to wake her up, as she flutters her eyes opens she could see a huge mansion-like castle in front of her surrounded by the magical forest with huge enchanted trees.
"Whoa, it's so huge and beautiful!" Celestia exclaim.
Her cute huge golden eyes light up with sparkles.
"Were here Young masters and young miss." the coachman said as soon as the carriage came to a stop at the golden gates.
A guard came forward to confirm their identity and allowed the driver to continue as soon as it stops in front of the mansion the double rose wooden doors open and Cepheus was waiting for the Septihanus siblings to get out of the carriage. Luciel, Charlie, Elliot and Lucas went out first.
Lucas reaches out his hand for Celestia to take as he helps her out of the carriage. As soon as Celestia walks out in front of her she could see Cepheus.
"What are you guys doing here, how come you didn't tell me you'll be visiting me?" Cepheus asks in a confused tone.
The casual tone with no formalities didn't surprise the Spetihanus as they are consider close to not be so formal unless in public.
So the Septihanus siblings weren't surprised with Cepheus acting like this however all the servants that have been working in the Ducal house that practically watched their young master grow up was shocked to see this side of him.
What shock them more was that in front of them was 5 beautiful children, with an elegant aura surrounding them especially Celestia although she is still very young they could feel a strong aura surrounding her, and her beautiful enchanting beauty shocked everyone there. All the servant was curious who these beautiful enchanting god-like children were.
"Welcome, Young master and young miss Septihanus, we apologies for not formally greeting you properly."
Once the head butler greeted them all the servants were shocked, that the children in front of them were the 5 mysterious Septihanus siblings.
The Septihanus house hardly attends balls or tea parties as they focus on studying magic and spells to advance their mana to protect the country and royal family. The Septihanus are the Face and protectors of the country, however, they never show their children to the public and if they did it will only be during necessary events. However, it was rumoured that the youngest child their only daughter Celestia Septihanus never once been in public and if she was they could never see her face.
"It's fine, it was our fault for not informing in advance," Luciel said with elegance with a cold face.
"Cep, Who's that?" Elliot asks pointing to a little boy with dark hair and red eyes next to him.
When Celestia notice it too the first thing that came to her head was a bun! He's cute chubby cheeks and big round eyes.
"Cute little bun," Celestia said out loud in a quiet voice.
She stares at the little boy however her brothers, Cepheus and the little boy heard her. The brothers glared at the innocent boy, Cepheus tighten his eyebrows and sigh while the little boy moves closer to Cepheus and held his hands hiding behind him.
"This is my younger brother his name is Xavier."
Cepheus push his little brother forward so he could introduce himself.
The little boy who looks exactly like Cepheus however his eyes has a softer tone of red and his aura seems more calmer as he walks in front of the siblings and introduce himself with a soft tone. "
Nice to meet you I'm Xavier Dawson Whisterial."
Celestia's eyes brighten and she internally squeals, even though in the game nor in the anime, Xavier's appeared not much in the screen, she fell in love with Xavier.
Xavier may not be a capture target however he was Celestia's favourite character, Xavier had a sad childhood, although Cepheus and Xavier had a close relationship in the game Xaiver was the loneliest child, losing his mother at a young age his father stop paying him attention. Xavier is the opposite of Cepheus he has a bright personality, beautiful smile however he had the saddest soft ruby eyes.
Xavier and Celestia are the same age, although he is younger than Celestia by 7 months, they were in the same class in the game although Celestia never got to graduate due to her low grades, Xavier was the only nice mob character that was nice to Celestia in the game and anime. Despite Celestia always treating the heroine rude Xavier never once thought that Celestia meant it as he knew that Celestia and Cepheus were engaged and it was wrong of the heroine stealing someone else's fiancè.
However, when Celestia and Xavier turn 23, Xavier wanted to speak to Celestia about Cepheus and his father using her household as their shield to hide the Whisterial corrupted dark side. Xavier got assassinated by someone unknown once Cepheus found out that his younger brother died he search who killed him somehow it reveals that Celestia was the one that hired assassins to murder Xavier.
This made Cepheus mad and he immediately took action and made the Septihanus household fall, this not only made Celestia suffer but also everyone in the household.
Celestia sigh as she sips on her milk tea in the Whisterial, garden. Cepheus took Celestia to a garden filled with purple wisteria and colourful flowers. While her brothers were taken somewhere else by Cepheus servants.
"What's wrong Star you've been absent-minded ever since you arrive here." Cepheus ask as he was starring at Celestia.
"hmm, it's nothing I was just thinking about a book I read." Celestia said with a smile, then she sighs once again.
Cepheus raise an eyebrow and place his cup on the round table.
"Tell me about the book that you read, it seems to be stressing you out."
Celestia thought for a moment as she was hesitating if she should tell him or not.
"Hm, well while I was in the library I found an old book, about a tragic love between a young prince and a young maiden. They were childhood sweetheart, the young maiden was deeply in love with the prince but he never once looks her way. One day the prince fell in love with another woman. When the young maiden found out her beloved fell in love with another woman who has a lower status than her she was heartbroken and started bullying the Baron's daughter, this stops when her beloved found out and protected the baron's daughter.
This made the Young maiden mad and hurt more, as her fiancè will protect another woman, so the young maiden tries to kill the baron's daughter however the prince stops her, and he took the chance and cancelled the engagement. This was the moment her Ducal house fell into ruin along with the young maidens name. She fell into depression watching her beloved looking at another woman with affection.
The young maiden one day went to visit the baron's daughter because she wanted to know how a woman who is inferior to her could win the prince's heart. When she saw her properly and spoke to her she knew why. It wasn't because she had elegance or beauty nor a kind heart but because she was different her personality was different from how a noblewoman should be.
This was when the Young Maiden step down and gave up her 20 years of unrequited love, and left the capital leaving a letter to her beloved. The Young Maiden died because of depression." After Celestia finishes talking she felt someone touch her soft white cheeks she looks up and saw Cepheus face in front of her, she didn't realise that she started crying.
"Why are you crying it's just a book if you're worried that I'm going to leave you and be with another woman than you're wrong. I promise I'll never leave you." Cepheus said with a gentle smile and firmness in his crimson eyes.
Celestia stares into his crimson eyes and chuckles a little, however, she felt empty she didn't know why she felt sad, because what she told him wasn't just a book but it was The game it was Cepheus and the Heroine's route and her tragic. Although she changed the characters and the story slightly it was about the route and her tragic ending.
Celestia didn't know if she should answer Cepheus so she just stays quiet. Cepheus notice the sadness, anxiety, and loneliness in her beautiful golden eyes. Cepheus didn't understand how a 5-year-old could feel so lost and lonely.
