The moment they arrived at his place, Nian Jiezhen told Ren Shiyuan everything about Daniel Wu except for the part where he kidnapped her already.
"That's why I want you to be careful, Shiyuan. He knows I'm here so he'll try to use you against me. I'm not sure if he has already taken other victims here but I have to let my old team know, also my new team here."
"You could have arrested him earlier."
"He always works with a partner. Knowing him, his partner could be nearby. If I tried to arrest Daniel, his partner will kidnap someone for a hostage exchange. I can't risk that."
Ren Shiyuan stared at her for a while, he was obviously worried for her. There was this weird feeling inside him that was bothering him.
Was this what they call 'woman's instinct'?
"From now on, you should always have a bodyguard with you, Shiyuan. Don't go out alone."
He chuckled, "You are underestimating me, princess."
