The house itself was only a temporary building. Both Isaa and Kendra knew that this thin layer of mud over the intervened branches is only to survive this winter. 

So they started making plans. The only really big thing they took into consideration was the fireplace with the chimney. No other household had this thing. neither the warm beds they prepared for themselves. 

But they didn't stop at that. They knew they need more firewood and more meat for wintertime so they caught more rabbits.
