Chapitre 7: “Useless” Growth and Insanity
Alt wasn't unhealthy by any means, he had some experience shooting a hand gun, at a shooting range with his friends and their family, but all he had was a sword, not a gun, and what he was fighting wasn't a unmoving target it was a living creature, a monster that climbs walls, spits acid, and has ferocious strength. Thus he died again and again. When his remaining lives reached 27/35 he managed to cut a single leg off the spider in exchange for getting his sword knocked away, and dying right after. When his lives reached 21/35 he managed to stab the human shaped portion of the spider, but died from a close range acid attack. He was now only had 17/35 lives left, while checking his stats

Alt's remaining lives were now less than half and in exchange all he got were increase in his 2 and 1 new passive skill's levels. He no longer panicked except when he was directly injured and he could handle pain much better than before. He could actually fight for a bit even with acid on him, and dodge without losing all reason, which greatly improved his reaction speed, but even so it was no where near, the speed needed to kill the spider, he could not win purely due to physical limitations. Even if he was calm and could see and assess the situation, the enemy often used 4 giant spider legs to attack him from different sides causing him to one sidedly die, and even if he by luck got a solid hit in, it often was at the cost of a major injury or at the cost of being disarmed, thus leading quickly to more deaths, and the spider regenerating it's wounds easily. After many failed attempts he had gotten the hang of using his sword, he could swat away the spiders acid about 6-7 times before it became useless and he could cut the spider even with Alt's below average strength. The final solution Alt thought of, was that he needed to continually spam [Ready] without giving the spider the time to heal, in order to make use of any and all injuries he was able to deal to the spider, although he would have never thought of such a self destructive idea in the past, possibly due to his new passives he could do such a thing, as he came up with that idea the electronic voice sounded again "Alt Frower has reached the necessary Exp requirements passive skill [StressTolerance] has leveled up" when he heard that he felt himself calm down, and clicked [Ready].
In front of his was the spider, it's movements slightly dull possibly due to it being full and tired. He dashed towards the spider ducking it's initial attack of acid, and swung at one of it's legs managing to cut it off cleanly, then he proceeded to stab the sword into the spider's large body then backed away. Immediately picking up 2 swords that were laid out on the ground from all his previous deaths. He blindly charged in stabbing both of the swords into the spider portion of the enemy, the spider let out a shriek which was loud enough to pop one of Alt's ear drums and disorient him, he quickly tried to grab a sword, but was impaled by 2 of the spiders legs. After he returned he quickly spammed the [Ready] button which he remembered the location of by instinct, since it was always in the same spot. He once again, was in the cave. The spider had already regrown it's leg and was in the middle of regenerating while pushing out the swords in it's abdomen. It seemed surprised when it saw Alt appear in such a short interval. It shrieked once again trying to buy time until it finished completely regenerating apparently due to the small hilt of the sword it couldn't pull the swords out of it's body, thus having to regenerate flesh and use it to push the swords out. Alt smiled when he saw this, since it meant this plan was working, he rushed forwards holding his sword and grabbing another from the floor while dodging the acid. He successfully cut off two of the spiders legs it was useing to stand, causing the spider to fall towards Alt, he then used his own body to push the 2 swords that the spider was trying to push out back in and succeeded in stabbing another sword into the human portion of the spider. While getting his head bitten off in the process, he once again quickly clicked [Ready] and appeared before the spider. The spider now apparently panicking, as it hadn't finished regenerating it's cut off legs nor had the 3 swords stabbed in it been pulled out, it's eyes were full of confusion and fear, a weakling that kept appearing which it had killed over and over had suddenly given it large injuries and was proceeding to continue to attack it. Alt as if sensing the fear in the spider smiled.
