Thompson starts to cry a lot harder. "I-I thought *hic* that I would lose my job over this but you guys are helping me out so much." He took a tissue from the box beside himself and blow his nose. 

There was a knock at the door. Leo got up and opened the door blocking so that the individual at the door could see in the room. "Can I help you, Valdis?"

"Yes, Greg and Micheal haven't checked in with me so I came to report the matter to the Elder." Valdis tried peeking around Leo but Leo blocked his line of sight each time. 

"Your message has been conveyed you may leave now." Leo made his voice deeper with a hint of higher command.

"Leo, you are not the head of the association yet and you can not block me from coming to see the Elder!" Valdis raised his voice and started yelling at Leo.
