Chapitre 30: 30 Grandmother Julie

Cindy goes and sits next to Julie. "Good morning, I am glad that I got to see you this morning. I slept as well as I could've given how suddenly everything happened."

"It is no problem. I was the one who woke up early enough. It was not hard to predict when you guys would arrive downstairs." She smiles and stars drinking her tea. "Kitty, I know what you are thinking this is not your fault. At least we got a few days to work with. If you weren't with Leo than everyone would've been lost and you know that is the truth. I know it is hard my dear but you will recover from this."

"Julie, you are being so unfair right now." Kitty looks up at her and the tears are forming in her eyes. Kitty tries to hold back her tears yet contrary to her wishes they start to fall down her cheeks. "Can I talk to you alone Julie?" She gets up and walks away from the group.

Leo watches her leave. He was about to get up and follow her but Julie looked over at him and said, "You wait here. We won't be very long." Julie got up and followed Kitty away. "You do realize that you left the others a little shocked?"

"Julie, I don't want this to happen. I'm already feeling the loss. I don't know if I can handle feeling more when the time comes." She hugs Julie and cries a little harder.

"Oh my dear, Kitty." She rubs her hand on her granddaughters back. "I know the loss will be a great burden. I can't say I know what it'll feel like for you but be strong and you will make it through this. I will always be with you in your heart. Now let's go back and have breakfast. Grant is cooking for us." Julie let Kitty go and smiled at her.

"Thank you, Grandmother Julie. Please, at least let me call you that just for today." Kitty looked up and wiped away her tears. The two walk back to the table. Kitty sits back down beside Leo and leans her head on his shoulder. She feels his hand on her thigh and she places her hand in his. "Thank you, Darling."

Grant comes out of the kitchen with a few of the dishes. "Here is the start of the dishes I'll be back with more. Julie, would you mind helping me out." He turns around and walks back to the kitchen and Julie follows him.

"Are you okay?" Leo looks at Kitty. He sees her nod. "When you are ready to talk feel free to talk about any and everything. I am more than willing to listen to you anytime that you may need it."

"I'll tell you about it on the drive to our new home. It'll give us something to talk about before I wind up falling asleep on you." Smiling sadly she watches Julie and Grant come back. "It looks like you made a lot of different kinds of food." She starts to grab a little of everything to eat.

"Yes, I thought it would be nice to have a variety of different foods. Can I grab anything for you guys to drink?" He smiles.

"Can I get two coffees? Will is on his way down and I know this what he would like to drink." He starts to grab some food for himself.

"Could I trouble you to make me a strawberry milkshake? I am feeling like I could use something sweet today." She looks at Grant and she smiles sadly.

Cindy got up. "Grant, I can make the milkshake and you can grab the coffee. I'll grab my own drink. Julie, I will bring you more tea as well." She walked away to help get the drinks. 'Poor, Kitty. I feel so bad for her. I will make her the best milkshake ever.' She starts to make the milkshake.
