Chapitre 6: Magical Training Starts

The Fountain of Fair Fortunes was a building that was decent looking. It was a building made of solid brick, but was covered with a layer of polished mahogany wood that made the pub look very pleasant to the eye.

Inside the pub was even more amazing. It had an ornate glass back-bar, dark wood panels and pew-style seats that contribute to a look which has barely changed since the 19th century. An added quirk was the chalked-up weather forecast on a blackboard, perhaps to help customers decide whether to leave the pub or not.

"Wow," whistled Harry as he walked inside. "This place reminds of a Fuller's Pub."

"Ah, this place is really clean," smiled Petunia as she nodded in approval. "Much better than that other pub we went to."

'Go figures that she'd like an overly clean place,' thought Harry.

"Good afternoon," said a female waitress. She appeared to be in her early to mid-twenties. "Would you like a table?"

"Yes, please," replied Petunia.

"Right this way, please," said the waitress.

'Oh good, she's starting to talk,' thought Harry as he followed the waitress to a corner with Petunia.

They were given a comfortable table and a menu to choose from. Petunia absolutely did not recognise half of the names of the drinks that was on the menu. Harry ended up ordering a Dragon Scale for her and orange juice with a steak pie for himself.

Half an hour later, Petunia had finished her second glass of Dragon Scale and had calmed down considerably. She was now looking curiously at all the different witches and wizards with a curious gaze.

Harry had also finished anothet steak pie as he found it delicious with more orange juice. The waitress said mentioned that all their ingredients were freshly used when making their food and beverages. This was welcomed warmly by both Harry and Petunia.

"Feeling better?" asked Harry with a faint smile.

"Much better, thank you, Harry," replied Petunia. "That Dragon Scale tasted quite nice."

"I'm glad you liked it," said Harry. "Shall we carry on now? It's starting to get late and I still haven't got what I originally came here for."

"Ah, you're right, let's go," said Petunia, getting up.

Harry and Petunua finally stepped out of the pub after paying and made their way to Flourish and Blotts. From all the stores that Harry and Petunia had gone past, this was, by far, the most ordinary looking.

Flourish and Blotts was filled to the brim with books. Shelves upon shelves lined the walls, from ceiling to floor. The books were of all sizes and different verities. There were in fact so many books that various signs were posted throughout the shop to help customers find what they need.

Harry already had made a list of the books he needed and did not waste any time looking for them. He collected a few history books of both magic and Hogwarts, books on magical theories, all 7 grades of The Standard Book Of Spells, Book of Spells and Charms, the beginner, intermediate and advanced copies of Transfiguration, Potions and Charms. Curses and Counter-Curses and a few other Defence Against the Dark Arts books, Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them, the differently named Herbology books and finally, the Astronomy books.

"That's quite the book collection you have there," said the salesman once Harry finished dropping all his books on the counter.

"We're quite the avid readers," replied Harry, smiling politely.

"Is there anything else you need?" asked the salesman.

"Do you have anything on the Wizarding laws and regulations as well as wizarding politics?" asked Harry.

"We have an Introduction to the Ministry of Magic and Laws," replied the salesman. "We also have Wizarding Politics, Introduction to the World of Wizardry as well as Wizarding Politics."

"Thank you, we'll them as well as all of these books" said Harry. "Oh, before I forgot, my father asked us to ask you if you have any books on Occlu-somethingy. Do you know what it is?"

"You mean Occlumency?" asked the salesman, surprised.

"Yes, that's the one," replied Harry, excited.

"We do have one but it's not part of the Hogwarts Curriculum," said the salesman.

"It's for himself, obviously," said Harry. "He couldn't come here today. That's why he asked us to collect these books."

"Of course, we do have a few copies," said the salesman hesitantly. "It's not something that many even know about, let alone search books for it."

"We'll take them as well, please," replied Harry, giving the salesman an encouraging smile.

The salesman finally threw away his hesitation and brought back 5 more books with leather bindings and covering. Harry's eyes lit up when he scanned through their titles.

'I've got everything I need now for the next year,' thought Harry. 'So exciting!'

"That will be 104 Galleons in total, please," said the salesman happily. This was the biggest sale he had done in one go ever since he started working here. He was going to get a good bonus from this. He could feel it. When the boy had mentioned the books on Occlumency, the salesman was unsure whether the boy would buy it or not. But now he was glad that he had purchased such a big amount.

Harry happily took out the gold money pouch the Goblin had given him at Gringotts and handed over the 104 Galleons to the salesman.

"I could provide you with an enchanted trunk that has an enlarged inner space free of charge since you made such a big purchase," said the salesman.

"I would like that very much, Mr Salesman," replied Harry, happily nodding.

After collecting his stuff, Harry went on to buy some sweets from Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour for Vernon and Dudley as well as some ice-cream for himself and Petunia, something she enjoyed a lot. As it was starting to reach late afternoon, Harry and Petunia finally left Diagon Alley through The Leaky Cauldron, took a taxi and finally reached home in the evening.

"You have finally returned, boy," said Vernon gruffly after he had given a welcome kiss to his wife.

"No, I'm his duplicate," replied Harry sarcastically. "The reall Harry Potter ran away."

"Don't get cheeky with me, boy," growled Vernon as he narrowed his eyes.

"You were pointing out the obvious," said Harry casually, shrugging his shoulders. "Here, I brought you and Dudley sweets. I know how fond both of you are of sweets."

"Wow, what kind of sweets are these?" asked Dudley excitedly as he opened the bag of sweets.

"These ones are Ever-Flavour Beans," said Harry, pointing out the assortment of sweets. "These are Butterscotch sweets and Butterscotch Beer for Uncle Vernon. You're not allowed to have them, Dudley, since they're alcoholic. These are Acid Pops, Assorted Fruit, Chocolate Cauldrons, Fizzing Whizbees and the lot. Eat them sparringly or they'll make all your teeth drop."

"So many different kinds," said Dudley excitedly, drooling as he picked a few chocolate cauldrons.

"Was it wise getting them for him?" asked Harry, looking at Petunia. "He's going to get sick if you let him eat it all in one go."

"Sigh ... you're right," replied Petunia sighing. "Maybe we shouldn't have gotten him so much."

"This Butteracotch Beer tastes nice," muttered Vernon, gulping down the beer.

Harry smiled as he took his trunk that was filled with books to his room. He took them out and placed them neatly on the bookshelf he had gotten Vernon to get him a few years ago. The bookshelf was already stacked with a miltitude of books ranging from medicine to technology to mathmatics and philosophy.

Harry placed his new collection of books neatly in order of priority that he was going to go through. First in line was the books that introduced the Wizarding World, followed by the history books of both the Hogwarts and the Wizarding World. He then made Magical Theory his third subject to go through as it would help deepen his understanding and comprehension of spells when he started learning them. The order then followed by Charms, Astronomy, Herbology, Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts (D.A.D.A.) and then finally Potions. He made a strict timetable for himself to follow for the next four weeks. It went as follows:

Despite the fact that Harry had been in his baby for during the first two years he had been in this Harry Potter world, he had not slacked off at all. He had continued studying, looking for various ways to further improve himself. This had forced his already developing brain to develop faster and become stronger from all the activity. Therefore, believing that four weeks was enough for him to cover all the basics of each subject did not make Harry overconfident; he simply believed he could cover all the first year materials in four weeks. His past experience had proven that.

As he finished making his timetable, he allowed himself an hour a day to speak with his Vernon about the investments they will be making regardless of whether they talked or not. If they did, great! If they did not, that was a relaxation time for Harry.

Thus, started Harry's training to become the greatest sorcerer in the world.

***** 4 Weeks Later *****

Time flew by again and as he had thought 4 weeks ago, Harry fully mastered the basics of Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Herbology, D.A.D.A. and Magical Creatures as well as the history books. In fact, he had managed to go through the history books as well as the books on the Ministry of Magic and it's laws and policies by the end of the second week and had fully memorized it.

After that, Harry had immersed himself even further in his studies. In regards to Potions and Herbology, he had only made do much progress while only covering the theoretical knowledge. What he needed to do now was move on to the practical aspects of the subjects; however, he would leave Herbology out and only focus on its theory until he gets to Hogwarts. As for Potions, he was ready to buy his supplies from Diagon Alley.

During these 4 weeks, Harry had made the greatest progress over his magic casting. As he had been meditating since the day he arrived in this world and had been working on the control of his magic, he had managed to perform something that had escaped many highly talented Witches and Wizards - Wandless Magic.

Harry had found out that in order to perform Wandless Magic successfully, a keen sense and fine control of magic was required. Luckily for him, he had been developing these two requirements for Wandless Magic over the last few years.

As he fell into deeper and deeper thoughts of Wandless Magic, he began to question the use of Wands in the first place. He knew that not everyone in the world used Wands. For example, certain African countries used totems whereas others were proficient in using Wandless Magic. What Harry was not sure of was why were Wands necessary if magic could be used regardless of whether it was needed or not. Was a Wand's purpose was simply to act as a medium to better channel the magic of its user? Or did it act as an amplifier to strengthen the casters spells? Or was it a mixture of both? Regardless of what it was, it was a topic for another time once he found some books on Wandlore to deepen his understanding of the intricacies of Wands and magic.

L’AVIS DES CRÉATEURS

I'm considering of whether I should bring back the system or not (if So, should I wait until he starts Hogwarts or bring it back sooner?)

I'm considering giving him his Inner Eye (Eye of Magic) soon and wanted to know if ... again ... wait until Hogwarts or have him activate it earlier.

I'm also intending of introducing another character later before Harry starts Hogwarts. Who do you guys want to see?

Leave your thoughts and suggestions behind guys.
