When Finland arrived in her office space, people looked at her strangely, which made her feel uneasy. She recognized the expressions on their faces and she didn't like them.
This reminded her of the difficult times at LTX Singapore, when her coworkers thought she was a mistress of the owner of a Continental Hotel.
"Pssst... Finland, come here," Ruth who saw her enter immediately pulled her hand and took her to the pantry. After making sure that no one was in the pantry she immediately poured some juice into two glasses. Her face looked very confused. She handed a glass to Finland. "What is your relationship with Mr. Schneider?"
"Eh...?" Finland was surprised to hear this sudden question. Did Caspar come here looking for her?
I know many people dislike Finland for being selfish and only think about herself, and even after being someone's wife she kept making her own decisions and was so adamant of working and show how she didn't have to rely on anyone.
Well, she had to survive alone her whole life (she never even let Jean help her financially and he was her closest family) and it takes a long time and A LOT of patience from Caspar to melt her stubborn heart. Other men might leave her and find new love if they can't see past her insecurities, luckily Caspar is mature enough to understand her.
Imagine being accused of a gold digger or some rich man's mistress every single time... That's gotta hurt her pride. I'm happy that after years, she finally found it funny.
