He wanted to complain and yell but words wouldn't come out from his tightened throat. He despaired and couldn't reach the floor. He should be dead a few days ago.
His should've broke down from the pain he was experiencing but his consciousness was still clearer than the blue sky that day.
His clothes were almost tore up, blood soaked him from head to toe. Nerves were pulsating in pain all over his body but the rope doesn't become loose for such reasons.
He kicked and pulled himself up. His weak body couldn't even do a proper pull-up but after a few days of struggle and restless pain, he used every muscle he had every second.
There are many things that is strange. Where do he get all the strength? He can't even breath nor sleep but he still isn't dead yet? No, the first and biggest question should be: Why can't I die?
Rin could no longer think about it or even count the days he was struggling: Passing out and waking up just to suffer again. It must've been at least a full week of him hanging.
After another few days, he can now do a pull-up but he is always exhausted so that is not the best he could do and since he need one hand to loosen the rope. He need to pull up using only one arm which is on a different level than a pull-up with both arms.
For time and time again, he would pull himself up to have a rest but his arms would get tired only after a few moments and he would fall again.
This pattern repeated for how many days. The pain would still let him struggle and move his body more than an athlete would but this only caused the rope to tightened up more. It would only get a little bit loose when he pull himself up.
He no longer sweat, his body was long dried up but the blood kept gushing out like it was limitless, either from his mouth or any of the orifices on his face.
No help was arriving even after a week and a few days. His deceased mother was the only who he know that will enter this house. No other relatives or even acquitances showed up in front of their door.
However, in the last few days, there was someone ringing the doorbell of their house daily and their telephone had been ringing about twice a day. Rin wanted to scream and shout for help but he couldn't. That only added to his suffering.
The only noise he could create is by using his own body. All the furniture near him had already been kicked or fell because of his past struggles. But if he release his grip from the rope then it will choke him. Therefore, there was nothing he could do but to listen to the ringing doorbell in agony.
A long time had already past, maybe longer than two weeks. He's long mentally exhausted from all the pain. He did not have a long breath for two weeks straight. His eyes are dead, his body was still swinging while his hands are always tightly gripped onto the rope.
Rin was very tired but still, the desire to stop this suffering was greater. It was just two weeks or so but for him, it felt like months.
Slowly, he closed his eyes. His arms suddenly jerked, abruptly pulling him upwards. Then he quickly changed thhe position of his left arm and tried to loosen the rope. This meant that only one up was supporting him. Nerves almost popped out of his skin as he tried hard to pull himself up more.
"Hnnn!!!!", he could not make any sound other than this. His left arm was shaking but was barely pushing the tied rope upwards so that his head could come out. Halfway and his head could almost fit in. Just a little bit and he could finally escape the days of his suffering. But then…
Snap!* The muscle on his right arm snapped. The strength from his arm instantly disappeared.
Rin wanted to puke at that moment. Is he going to continue this? He thought. Just a little bit and he could end this: this was the only thing in his mind as his right arm released its grip while his neck fell onto the rope's clutches again.
"Ack!!", As the rope catches his neck, the ceiling fan gave up and detached itself from the ceiling.
He continued his fall. His body had no energy left to stop this fall. It would hurt a lot but Rin was very glad. He felt for a moment there that his head was finally going to part with his body. But finally, he escaped.
Thud!* His body hit the floor. When the rope was already out of his neck, he was so relieved that his tears came out and he lost consciousness…
Just after a few hours, Rin wake up from his slumber. He was still tired but the pain was mysteriously all gone.
Because of the contrast between hellish pain and a bit tired, he felt that he was full of energy and strength. He placed his hand above his chest and saw that he was naturally breathing. His throat was no longer getting clutched by the rope.
He was so happy that he stayed lying on the floor that was full of his blood and did not care for a few more minutes.
Instead of questioning what was happening or having traumatized, his mind was in peace and relief. Only after a few more hours did he regain all his strength.
It was midnight, that he came back to his senses.
