Other Side of the City

Zhao Lifei gasped when he suddenly picked her up and without warning, carried her into her room, all in a matter of two minutes. She blinked and found herself on his lap, sitting on the bed.

"Kiss me." He demanded, puzzling her. She tilted her head, wondering where his sudden desire came from.

"What's wrong?" She asked him, bringing her hands up to cup his cheeks, marveling at his honey-toned skin. She saw the uneasiness in his eyes, the way his arms snaked around her, refusing to let her go.

"What did your grandfather tell you?"

"That I should leave you."

In the next second, a snowstorm blew into the room, the wind colder than a blizzard. Accompanying it was a surge of fearsome, murderous intent. His face was blank, but that did not stop the change in the atmosphere.

She sighed at his temperament and when she felt that he was going to stand up, she pressed her entire body weight down on him to force him to sit back down.
