What would happen when a small, poor, weak guy by some fateful events get dragged into this real like game for good? facing other human players?

PS: so I saw many crusade rype.of novels here I liked some while I hated some, but they all had in common one thing, everyone else is heathen and bad if he is not Christian.
I know a lot of Christians, and other people from different religions and we are all good friends.
so why not have a Jihad one ?
this is gonna be a jihad type of story where you have bad people everywhere but also good people everywhere.
