Chapitre 11: Time To Head Home
It has been a wonderful 3 days. Jay spent the next 3 days taking Belle around Paris. It was one of the best time of his life. He has never felt at ease and he really enjoyed Belle's company. Soon he realised that he grew very fond of her and wanted to send every moment with her. But he did know that this would soon come to an end. She would need to go home.
They finally reached back home and said their good nights. Belle was tired and happy. It has been a while since she felt this way. She decided to pamper herself with a bubble bath before hitting the bed. She remembered that she bought a Bath Bomb. It was somewhere in her luggage. She dug thru her luggage but something else caught her eyes. It was her phone and Alex's present. She picked them up and placed it on her bed.
Belle closed her eyes and thought to herself "Its time. I need to get back to reality. I would have to face it sooner or later". She picked up the phone and turned it on. 51 voice messages. 258 missed calls. 439 messages. Belle scrolled thru the missed call numbers. "Alex, Alex, Alex, and more Alex. Huh, Jamie, Cass and Joe called as well. A lot of times. Something must be up. Let's check the messages. Alex, delete, delete, delete."
Jamie : Where the hell are you? Alex has called me 1001 times. I heard you both argued. Another thing, why on earth are you in Paper Times with Jay Joseph Pierre!! Call me back.
Cass : Boss! When are you coming back to work? There has been reporters in our cafes everyday enquiring you. Oh, and it is going to be Jayden's birthday soon. Joe called. I've already arranged for the deco and the cake to be baked. You would be there right. Also, are you all right? Alex has been here waiting for you for the past 1 week.
Joe : Belle Page! If you have forgotten, your nephew is turning 5 next Saturday. 2 weeks from now. He wants a jungle theme party. I've already told your assistant. Where are you? I think we need to talk. I guess you and Alex had a really big fight else he would not call me for you. What ever it is, I'm here for you.
Belle sighed to herself and snickered "We fought? My ass. If they knew what he did, he will be so dead". Her eyes darted to the gift and tears trickled down her face again. She was 5000 over miles away but he still had this effect on her.
She knew it was time for her to pack up and face the reality. She had to take care of work, answer to Joe and Jamie but most of all, sort out her stuff and kick Alex out of her life. At the same time, she thought of Jay. He was the sweetest person ever. He took care of her, showed her around and gave her a great holiday. Belle knew her heart fluttered a little around him but she wasn't ready to dive into another relationship.
At that point Belle decided to spend 1 more day with Jay and head home after that. She would have the last best day with Jay and not see him again. She would move on and start a brand new life.
