Daisy was never the ambitious type. With an absent father and a wild elder sister who refused to take the responsibility of her sick mother, Daisy had to grow up fast. She climbed through college working multiple jobs and then got a job at Ingrid Solutions as a corporate solicitor. Things seemed better when her sister Mallory decided to marry Jonathan, the man who had raped her at fifteen. No one had believed her then and she had stopped talking to Mallory long ago. However the beating started soon after leading to two consecutive miscarriage. Mallory's situation had put off Daisy from relationship for good. But Daisy was lonely. She tried to drown herself in work but something was missing. A situation with a childhood friend made her assess her life's ambitions and goals.
All that Daisy needs is a sperm donor. She just didn't trust the sperm banks. She didn't want some devil spawn inside her. But she wanted a baby. Her baby. At 32 she was sick of relationships. Every relationship she has been has been abusive. Sometimes she wondered if all relationships were supposed to be abusive and it was her fault that she couldn't live with it. That was what her only boyfriend Doug had taught her. That everything that was wrong with their relationship was her and now even she started believing it. May be there was something wrong with her.
Thomas Monroe wasn't famous or anything. He didn't like being in the spotlight but he enjoyed success. He had started from a despicable past with nothing but a football scholarship and worked from their to own one of the largest hotel chains in and around the States. Everyone from the who's who of the hospitality world knew about him but very few people knew him. He had a huge team that he spearheaded to run his business and he liked to travel in tinted cars and enter through back doors. It was a wonder that the paparazzi never managed a single photo of him. That is because Thomas liked to be reminded what it was like to live on the streets from time to time and he takes off to the streets when he feels that his life needs a sombre reminder of his past. The reminders aren't there to stop his success but to accelerate it. He put his friend and CEO Frederick Bartolli in the limelight while he worked silently in the background as what his employees referred to as Mr. Chairman. But as Chairman he wasn't ever satisfied.
Thomas didn't want to stop. He was climbing the stairs to success and he felt everything was just right. He didn't forget his humble past, he couldn't. He just tried to push the distance between his past and his present. There were things he regretted about his life that he could not change. One thing that he did want to change was his loneliness. After the long business trips and hours of meetings his life seemed meaningless. So when Daisy shares her problem with him he wants to share her solution with her.

'So you want a random stranger to become your sperm donor?'
'Why not? At least I would know he is not incarcerated or something.'
'Just by looking at him!'
'Yeah!'
'What about me?'
'What about you?'
'Would you like to have my baby?'
