I am 120 years old now or in human age early adulthood. The female guard that kneeled in front of me, took me into her home that very day. Her husband and two other kids were super nice to me. The oldest child was name Simmal and the youngest was name Lisa. She was older then I was. Her husband name was Jack. He was also a guard but only during the day. His wife took care of the kids after school and on days off while he worked. This was a happy family, but I felt like an outsider. I sat in my own space that they were kind to give to me, until they could get another room set up.
Jack had a firm but yet soft looking face. His eyes were silver and his hair was a rough grey as he seemed older then Layla. She had a voice like spring and a warm present like summer. Her smile was light and refreshing as I grew older and older. I watched it fade away. Now she was older and so was Jack. Their two children Lisa and Simmal was already moved out and had their own families. Both children never liked me. For whatever reason they would taunt me to no end. I guess I wasn't their family after all I did intrude on their happy family when I was six. I felt bad leaving Jack and Lalay on their own. I chose to move down their path. It was my own way to express my gratitude for taking care of me all those years.
It wasn't long when after I told them that I chose the guard myself. That they passed away. I missed them dearly. I hold a special spot in my heart for them as well as my parents. I hope they'll meet my parents and tell them what I have become.
My life was about to change once more as I moved out to the dorms for the first year guards.
