Chapitre 2: Insert Title _Here_

In the middle of what appears to be nowhere is a forest. Above this forest is a bright blight blue sky dotted with fluffy clouds. Among the vast sky is a flock of geese heading south. Below the geese above the treeline at about fifteen feet appears a boy that is falling down.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAH" Keres screamed like a little girl.

*Crash*

"Ow."

*Crunch*

"My children!"

*Slap*

"Felt harder before"

*Crash*

"Ow."

Getting up Keres begins to inspect his body. Other than a few scratches and his peaches badly hurting there is no major injury as far as he can tell. Keres freezes and stares into to space as he realizes that the wrinkles that were on his body are no longer there. Squeezes both of his hands into fists and trembling with excitement.

"Alright!" Keres exclaims while jumping into the air with one fist raised. When he lands he flinches in anticipation of pain after the sudden movement. Waiting for his body to flood with pain he stands still. After a few seconds, he begins to laugh at himself.

(I've got to remember I'm no longer an old sack of bones anymore.)

Keres feels the material of his clothes while looking for any weapon on him.

(Hmmm. Feels like leather, it's very thick and rough. Dammit that stingy god didn't give me any weapon to protect myself. What to do?) Keres stood still and began to think of solutions.

After a minute he began to smile and spoke.

"System activate!"

Silence.

"Dam. I don't get a system either? Don't tell me that cheap bastard sent me here with just clothes? He might as well sent me butt naked!"

"Oh, you really think so child?" That odd ancient young voice sounded.

Keres not expecting to hear a voice out of nowhere screamed like a little girl again.

"Are you sure your eighty-four? Hehe" The god asked while chuckling.

"I'm in the middle of a forest with civilization nowhere in sight and you expect me to calmly react to a voice that came out of nowhere?" Keres retorted back.

"Fair enough." The god replied.

"So where am I and why did you show up? Also, where are you?" Keres asked a bit expectantly.

"For where you are? You will find out. As to why I showed up? Well, I'm here to give you your first choice. For where I'm at? I'm speaking to you telepathically." The god answered.

"May I decline what you offer me?"

"Yes, that is the third and last option you may choose. However, I warn you the consequences of this choice will be unknown to you unlike the other two."

After pondering for a few minutes. Keres asked.

"So if I choose one of the first two options are the outcomes set in stone?"

"Not exactly." The god replied.

Hearing this Keres brows furrowed.

"Explain."

"I am going to use your first choice as an example."

Time stopped and in front of Keres, three screens appeared. Feeling excited he began to read.

For a couple of minutes, Keres pondered and asked the god.

"Do I have to complete every task to get the reward?"

"No. For every task, you complete you choose one reward amongst the rewards list." The god answered.

"Will my choices always be this balanced?"

"No."

"Are you saying the time will come where I will be given two extreme choices?" Keres asked worriedly.

"There may come a time where you have to choose between two such options. However, this is not guaranteed and remember if that time came you have the option to decline to choose between the previous two." The god solemnly replied.

"Will time always stop when my choices appear?"

"No. This will be the first and last time. Whenever you are ready to choose child."

(Dam. Stingy bastard. What to choose. Option one is clearly the most versatile. Option two is the safest. Option three is clearly the most dangerous but the most rewarding. Hmmm.)

Keres took his time. Really took his time. He took so long that the god regretted stopping time so the child can choose.

(Although option one and two maybe pointless. If a map is given then that means there are landmarks around the area or the city has to at least be close. )

*Cough* *Cough*

"Child some things came up and I have to go choose immediately" The god urged Keres.

(Whose the child now impatient bastard.)

"Alright, I already got eighty-eight years under my belt! Screw it give me option three."

"Haha. Take care child."

In front of Keres, six grey books appeared along with a hammer. Grabbing the first book out fo the six he opened it.

A huge amount of information flooded into Keres's brain instantaneously.

Magic ability gained: Teleport (S)

"Haha. I'm already a master teleporter! I must have ungodly luck as a reincarnator" Keres happily yelled.

Grabbing the second book and opening it.

Skill gained: Cooking (D)

"Its alright I don't need to cook much anyways when I get to the city."

The third book.

Skill gained: Cooking (E) Since the user already has this skill the ability shall be replaced with this grade.

"Bullsh*t why do I have to take the lower grade? Give me back the D!"

After cursing at the sky for a minute Keres grabbed the fourth book.

Skill gained: Swordsmanship (A) *Sealed*

Keres's face scrunched up as he looks at the hammer. Shaking in anger he grabbed the fifth book.

"It was sealed anyway." Keres said to comfort himself as he opened the fifth book.

Magic Gained: Storage (S)

"At least I don't have to carry a backpack with me everywhere"

The sixth book.

Skill gained: Cooking (F) Since the user already has this skill the ability shall be replaced with this grade.

"FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF"

Keres ran towards the hammer, grabbed it, and began to strike a tree. After doing this for a couple of minutes he calmed down and went in the forest. The way he walked was not in the manner of a youth in their springtime. Keres walked very slowly while bending his body forward. Much like an old man.

The tree was left beaten and worn. However, if one were to look behind the tree they would see the exact same marks on it.
