The wind outside the mansion whispered against the closed windows and doors, Penny sat on the bed, getting attended by Damien who finally placed the pack of snow down on the dressing table. Staring at her neck with a pensive expression. 

"Are you okay?" Penny asked him, his eyes had yet to turn back to its usual color which was still black right now. It was the longest time she had seen him carry the corruption for this long duration of time. 

"Yes. How about yourself?" 

"I am okay," she whispered, looking deep into his eyes and then saying, "You should go change yourself," Penny didn't know where he had been to as he had left the birthday party without many words but a kiss on her cheek.
