Lyra woke up to a gentle knocking on the door, she rubbed her eyes , turned the doorknob to a smiling Dumbledore
"I have convinced your parents that you can go to Hogwarts, therefore, I will go with you to Diagon Alley,any questions?"
"N...no sir"
"Excellent! If you'd kindly grasp my arm, I'll aparate to Diagon Alley , along the way I'll explain some more things to you ."
Lyra, dumbstruck as she recalled the memory last night, blindly grasped Dumbledore's hand as he turned in the spot. Lyra felt an uncomfortable sensation like hooking her clothes, before she had time to register that, she was in front of a shabby pub with words Leaky Cauldron on it.People bustled around, going to the bookshop around the corner, stopping in front of a Chinese restaurant
"Are you sure we're in the right place?" Lyra asked uncertainly, Dumbledore didn't reply , just opened the door and gestured for Lyra to go in. Lyra went in and looked around, different people wearing robes were in the pub chatting , reading, all sorts of things a normal people can do. Tom the bartender(Lyra had read from the books)is wiping glasses with a ragged towel. However, no matter how busy they are,they all bowed down to Dumbledore when they caught sight of him and Lyra. Dumbledore waved them off with a twinkle in his eye,
"Why so formal? Just relax, I daresay I'm not going to eat you."
"Ye.....yes Dumbledore "
Grinning, Dumbledore tapped on a brick and Lyra's jaw dropped , almost unhinged. Like a little kid, she ran through the street, which Dumbledore taking long strides to catch up, smiling.She stopped at A broomstick store and stared at the newest broom, a comet two ninety. Children crowded over it, whispering excitedly among themselves, none of them seem to notice a slightly panting Dumbledore.After quite a long time, Lyra finally peeled her eyes of the broom, and wanted to buy her books, but as she turned around , Dumbledore has them already , looking upon his crooked nose at her. He even had time to go to Gringotts and get her a bag of galleons *. Lyra didn't realise she had been there for so long she just realised hat she had been staring at different brooms for more that an hour! Dumbledore noticed her large interest in the broom, and said,
" First years are not allowed , although I daresay I can give you one of my friend's creations, it's called a firebolt, which is a brand of brooms waiting to be introduced to the world."
"So I'm the first one to use it ?"asked Lyra with wide , curious eyes.
"Yes"
"But won't that be breaking the rules?"
"I can say that once I step out of the school, I'm just me.Sherbet lemon?"
"No thanks."A puzzled Lyra politely reclined
"Suit yourself ."
Then, Dumbledore brought her to
