Going straight into action wasn't that successful as herself only knows how to use text-to-speech, blink her new heads-up display to some colors and hover for a few seconds.
Rene couldn't try the field-testing part when the volunteer cannot even muster strength to proceed in the first place.
"Uh...you okay in there?" Rene asks.
"Nope! Haven't figure out the correct bindings to activate whatever you modulated in this drone body either. Might take some time to re-calibrate since I need to sort out and combine each set of commands for a proper loadout such as for daily-use, defense or in the offensive." She answers.
"Well set up your standard parameters and your basic calibration, I'll set the test field in the meantime."
After seeing her hobble around on the table, Rene thoughts after some time to finally place her down on the floor to avoid incurring accidents in the workplace.
Then he steps outside of the ship he calls home to realize that it was already night with the three moons shining above high in the sky clouded with floating husks and scrap.
Occassionally one can see the moons in greater detail, the first moon colored in a dark green hue with spots all-around seemingly a great target for some meteors to crash.
The second moon colored in a light red hue has a quarter of its land mass broken into smithereens that one can almost see its core.
And lastly the third moon with a light gray hue and is surrounded by a ring of frozen blocks of ice and dust.
These three celestial bodies orbitting around this planet shows that once before that it was a planet full of bounty and only was tainted by hands of other races and turned it upside down to a be an unwelcoming wasteland.
With evidences in tow, Rene then sets out somewhat far from the ship why hauling some pieces of scrap, cloth and leather to craft some makeshift humanoid targets then set them up of the dry, cracked ground below.
Rene felt delighted to see the testing field to be completed and somewhat feel demise that what he worked on for quite some time is gonna ne wrecked in minutes or less.
Done with the job he returns to the ship only to see that the drone is permanently hovering up above the ground. "Looks like she did it in record time." He then breaks her trance in seconds yelling "Time to work you dunce!"
"Ha...Hai!" Her drone body acts seeming shocked as it buzzes up and down in a hurried manner.
"On second thought nevermind, it's quite late by now and since I'm not in a synthetic body. I'm gonna go take a rest in the meantime you toughen up your foundations, you never want to screw amidst a great battle." He waves then he enters by the left-side corridor down the right hallway.
"Okay sir!" She continues to practice her wobbling movements.
Hours passed and soon the sun rises up from its rest from the cloudy horizon, Rene wakes up from his sleep due to his disciplined body clock trained to extreme.
He then walks up near to a cupboard above his sketching desk to pick up 2 vials of thick blue liquid and 3 bars of compressed down rations he made by printing organic materials to somewhat palatable rations.
He proceeds to have his breakfast and the thick liquid down the hatch, he feels his parched throat moisten up in seconds and finally taking a huge bite to the compressed bar of rations.
He eats in just 2-3 bites and proceeds to finish it all up and ending with another vial of concentrated water to remove any dried and compressed bits of rations stuck in his throat.
Finished with breakfast, he dresses up with shirt and pants then wears boots alongside his trusty belts pf gimmicks and a rifle in tow at his back.
He only wears his <Teknov B12 Hydrogen Armor> as it was the only lightweight armor he currently has and he now thinks to craft some other type of armor to presumely fit other kinds of situations immediately.
He then goes out of his room and down the dark corridor, making a right turn and down the stairs and faces left towards the workshop.
He sees a drone flying around like a butterfly swaying by the wind and when he stares at it. It suddenly stops, turns a 180* turn and stares at his deep black eyes in return.
"Morning Tes! How's your training?" He asks.
"Tes!...uh Morning too Sir!" She returns his greeting embarassingly.
"So you sorted out the controls and stuff?"
"Yesh! I mean I have all preconditions and is ready to go."
"So let's try out what you can do." Rene smiles.
A man and a buzzing drone leaves the ship together towards a fenced up area filled with sandbags and broken down walls. There is also several makeshift targets with expressions laced with mock and waiting to be shot.
"So let's get into hat you're capable of"
The drone emits a vibrating sound as if going into combat mode, the sides opens up revealing two black rifles each with two lengthy extendable barrels.
One connected by a line of high caliber rounds and the other charged and connected by wires outputting power directly from the main reactor.
At the back of the drone also opens up to reveal a black box with eight holes filled with various kind of rockets, in chemical propelled rockets, kinetic ballistic to highly concentrated energy torpedoes.
The bottom of the drone also opens to show a 360* turn energy/ballistic precision turret capable of piercing through low to mid grade beast hide with ease.
"3...2...1...Fire!"
The drone lights up, activating all offensive modules and attachments in an instant. It bellows out a molten torrent of power razing the prepared test-field to ash.
"Well that's...My estimate didn't even come close to how destructive it can be, well anyways now I have someone to accompany me in my journey across the wasteland." He frowns with sweat dripping down his back.
Noticing that Synesthesia in her drone body not stopping, he seems pertubed that she seems to be already been drunk with the power her new body holds.
Rene whips out a modified elemental pistol refurbished into an impromptu long-range taser. He aims silently towards the drone wrecking havoc and pulls the trigger.
A massive electrical discharge spouted from the barrel and in nanoseconds his the drone then finally zaps it back to reality.
With its defensive measures activated it withdraws all weapons and deploys its hidden extra plates of armor and an energy shield surrounds the drone.
"You awake now Tes?"
"Ye...sh.zzzz..." She replies seeming shocked from what happened.
"Now fix your manners next time or else I'm returning you back to your original body you hear me? Only use overclock and overload next time only if we are under dire straits." Rene replies with a frown on his face.
"Hai!"
The two returns to the ship to plan out what happens next.
