"They are healed now, but those scars…" she tried to talk so he would take it normally. But his calmness was surprising to her as she worried her.
Lu Lijun only observed them and said nothing. The mark moved from one side of her chest towards the same side of her back along her rib which didn't reach her entire back but Jiang Yuyan covered it and stopped him, "Don't look at it. Enough now."
The wounds were healed physically but they didn't heal in her mind. She was still suffering and what happened in her childhood had affected her greatly. Lu Lijun could feel she didn't trust herself or anything so easily. He was sure she still had nightmares because of what had messed up with her brain at such a young age when a kid deserves to get nothing but love and happiness.
