Reydi was pacing in his room unsure of what to do next when Sam walked in. What did she say? asked Reydi. Sam looked at him and smiled you need to calm down first. How can i calm down? he yelled. That idiot is here to cause trouble i just know it and Priscilla was sent to control him what is the Duke thinking?
Sam poured 2 drinks and sat on the chair quietly he knew Reydi needed to get it all out. He listened and didnt say one word he understood his brother well.
Priscilla doesent belong here. She is to delicate and unprepared said Reydi. She could get hurt she is to spoiled and too sheltered for this new land.
Reydi finally stopped talking and looked at Sam say something dont just sit there he yelled.
First sit down and here said Sam as he handed him the drink. Reydi sat down out of breath from all the ranting.
First Think of it this way the Duke sent his troublesome son away as far as possible to keep him out of the way. As for Priscilla she is not as fragile as you think dont underestimate her she has her own intrests. Reydi gulped his drink and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and when he opened his eyes there was a dark and cold look. The temperature seemed to drop and a cold wind burst threw the window. Sam had a dark expression he knew that look and it ment things were not going to end well.
Reydi stood up and walked to the balcony he looked out into the night and saw a full moon that seemed to sit on the roses in the garden. It was a sight to behold. Eli's face suddenly appeared in his mind projecting across the moon and he suddenly calmed down. He thought of her smile and a warm feeling washed over him.
Lets wait he said im curious now. I want to know what Aldon is up too.
Sam felt a hedache comming on. I will start the investigation. Just let me handle this. I will find out what he's up too then we will sit and figure out what to do next ok. Fine said Reydi he trusted Sam and knew very well how skillful he was. He was confident Sam would find out down to the last details. Then they would send Aldon back to where he crawled out from.
