Jin Xiangdong turned his gaze to the pretty face of Lu Jia'er, and his mouth lifted slightly. "Professor Lu, it should be said instead that you have the noble spirit of the humanities instead of an unfounded fear!"
"I'm being flattered so thoroughly that I'm not sure I can handle it!" Lu Jia'er smiled with curved eyebrows, which was completely different from the usual mood she exuded on her teaching days.
"My remarks are well-founded, not flattery!" said Jin Xiangdong.
"What is the basis?" Lu Jia'er expressed her curiosity.
"Professor Lu, I have seen all the papers you have written. Your views are very scientific while still being full of humanistic spirit!" Jin Xiangdong replied.
Every person has at least some desire to have their efforts recognized. Lu Jia'er was no exception. Her current focus was her academic point of view.
Modern psychology is a rich and colorful science. Its logical thinking in respect of delicacy, certainty and neutrality are used to portray its scientific spirit. But many scholars tended to ignore the humanistic spirit of psychology while focusing mostly on science, making psychology cold and devoid of human's tender feelings.
From Lu Jia'er's point of academic view, she has not only a very scientific, academic analysis of psychology—but also created different metaphorical expressions to replace psychological scientific terms. The balance that is achieved with metaphorical expressions, rigorous logic, and of rationality used in tandem with non-rationality, conveys the voice of the human heart better. It then becomes a realization of the integration and unification of the scientific spirit and humanistic spirit of psychology.
"I'm at a loss in regards to how to find north since I'm so recognized by you!" Lu Jia'er's heart was surging with sentiment.
"North is in this direction!" Jin Xiangdong immediately helped her by indicating the right direction.
"I expected that there would be a lot of pressure here since I would be working with people with high IQ. Now that I'm here, however, I seem to be at ease!" Lu Jia'er chuckled and said, losing her usually sedate and reserved manner.
"Our team has integrated handsomeness with wisdom and a sense of humor! Don't be stressed!" Jin Xiangdong praised.
Lu Jia'er was once again amused, and at the same time she expressed her agreement, "Well, it is really a team of beauties, with handsomeness, wisdom and sense of humor!"
"As for the word 'beauty', it is worthy of being used to describe me. Describing others with that word is an overstatement!" replied Jin Xiangdong.
After hearing his remarks, Lu Jia'er was surprised. She didn't expect Ace to have a narcissistic side, so she smiled and said, "As long as you are happy!"
"Professor Lu, you don't think I am a beauty!" Jin Xiangdong stared at Lu Jia'er and asked.
The man who could make Lu Jia'er fall in love at first sight naturally had an impeccable appearance on top of his specialness.
Lu Jia'er could not bear being stared at by Jin Xiangdong so intently. Her little heart was racing out of control, and she even felt that her face was starting to get burning hot.
"You have lived up to your reputation!"
Lu Jia'er followed her heart and sense of aesthetics as a result.
After Jin Xiangdong had gotten the answer he desired, his mouth lightly lifted. "My information is rarely leaked, so I have been misunderstood by the outside world for many years. Professor Lu, please help me out by straightening out this fact in the future!"
"Is there a publicity fee?" Lu Jia'er grinned and said.
"No, but I can privately ask you out for a thank-you treat, Professor Lu!" said Jin Xiangdong.
"Deal!" Lu Jia'er agreed generously as she heard his words, her eyes gleaming.
Gazing at Lu Jia'er's blinking eyes, which were like stars in the sky. A blue starry sky emerged within Jin Xiangdong's mind, and seated opposite him, Lu Jia'er was the brightest star.
