Re: A few things about me, and going premium
Hey everyone, this is a small post I am making to tell you all a little bit about myself, along with the announcement and my reasons for going premium.
I've looked around Webnovel, and I saw a lot of authors listing their IRL reasons for needing money, and hence going premium.
So, I thought I would do the same. I have a great family, and a great relationship, but that is it.
I've been struggling with depression for the past 4 years.
I used to wake up everyday feeling empty. Hollow.
I felt like my life didn't have a purpose.
My family and boyfriend tried everything they could to help me, but this was something I had to deal with by myself.
I racked my brain day in and day out in an attempt to figure out what I wanted to do with my life.
Every day was a struggle.
It still is.
Writing is something I'm really passionate about, and it makes me feel alive and just…happy.
Right now, I work full time.
Unfortunately, my boss is nothing like Will, and he does everything he can to make my work life miserable.
I also work on a software company me and my boyfriend set up together, which is a passion project that has been in the works for a long time.
It is still in its early stages, so we don't get any revenue from it.
The thing I am most thankful in this life is the amazing luck I've had in finding my soulmate at a very early age.
We've been together 6 years(we were best friends since childhood), and we feel it is time to take the next step.
However, we really need money to settle down.
What all of you might never have guessed is that he's also a writer on Webnovel(I'm not gonna tell who it is, but he is famous ^^), and although both of us are strapped for time, we get the writing done.
If Webnovel turns out to be a viable income source, it would really help us to have the biggest event of our lives sooner, and I might also be able to leave my job to work more on the company and have more time for writing.
I wasn't even considering putting down the story in my head into a book, but along came Webnovel. I was also really encouraged by my boyfriend, and we actually write this book together now.
Now that I think about it, it's something that has brought us closer together as a couple.
Regardless, obtaining money from this hobby and driving myself to push and be better is something that I am really looking forward to, and something that I hope will help me realize our dreams sooner.
I hope everyone supports me in this move, and stays with Liz, Will, and Luke. I still have a LOT to tell about their tale.
PS. As those who might have read my comment on the previous chapter will know, the original plan was to go premium at Chapter 100. Due to a miscommunication, I no longer have the ability to post normal chapters. I've intimated Webnovel, but there has been no response for 24 hours(apparently, they are all busy with their annual gala). Well, I'm just taking it as a sign from the heavens and moving forward ;)
