Hell.
Hell..
Hell...
This was all Mira thought as she stared at the horrifying flames that engulfed the world. Screams were everywhere, people were slowly turning to ash as they cry out for a savior in pain and anguish. They begged, begged, and begged yet no one came.
Parents tried to save their kids, only to be buried along with them and turn into ash while others were trying to save there friends only to be pulled along with them.
'What...What is this?' Mira wondered as she found herself shaking. This... this was much worst than her past. She hadn't had a single nightmare after two or three years when she joined Fairy Tail. It was all behind her after all. All she cared about now were her guildmates (as reluctant as she was to admit it) and her siblings. They were her whole life practically, and it was enough for her to not dream of that nightmare when she was hunted down like a witch by her own village.
"Help! Please! Anyone! Save me!!!" She shivered when she heard a man scream causing her head to turn towards the direction of his voice. There, she saw him burning as his body slowly turned into ash as his eyes were filled with terror and pain. She tried to reach out her hand to save him, she truly did even if she knew this was all most likely a dream. The moment her hands touched his in an attempt to save him, the man's finger started to turn into ash before there was nothing but his skeleton which was also slowly disappearing.
"This is hell..." She whispered as she looked around her feeling hopeless. She couldn't help these people. No matter how much she wished to, she simply couldn't. This was a dream, and everyone was dying too fast as soon as she caught sight of them. Even worse? She couldn't even tap into her magic reserves. Yet, she still tried to save someone. Anyone. But it was still the same. Eventually, her eyes dimmed, as she realized no matter what she did everyone would die. Her eyes closed, wishing to not see this hellish world any longer and prayed that she woke up soon.
After what felt like years, she suddenly heard another cry for help. Though this time, she seemed to had given up... After all, everyone had said the same thing yet died. So why wouldn't that person die too?
*Step*
*Step*
*Step*
Steps were heard, causing the recently given up Mira to open her eyes and snap her head towards the source of the sound. A man appeared. He was a bit dashing, she had to admit. But there was a dangerous vibe about the man. Even if he did look like he was in the very depths of despair...
She stood there, watching him suddenly stop at a pile of rubbles before he began digging desperately. She saw the tiny bit of hope in his eyes. It was obvious as to what his intention was.
"Give it up." She suddenly said as she stared at the man with her arms crossed.
"He's dead... Everyone is dead." She had no idea why, but when she said that her heart clenched for some reason. She saw the man ignore her yet still dug as if his life depended on it. She watched on for a few minutes before shutting her eyes and sighing as she thought he was getting nowhere. The man was simply in a fools dream. There was no way a anyone could survive in that pile of rubble. His oxygen was cut off from the outside world, not to mention that the debris should've killed him.
"You're alive...!" Hearing this, her eyes once again snapped open in surprise as she stared at the man's back. His voice was full of joy when he said that as he held the boy dearly in his arms. The man seemed to have been brought back from the very depths of despair as soon as he finally saved him. Not to mention that, from what Mira saw, the man seemed to be crying too if the bits of water dripping on the ground was any indication.
Curiously, she slowly began walking up to him. As she did so, she moved her head above him to see what exactly the boy looked like. The boy's eyes seemed nearly dead. No emotions swirled in him as he stared at the man who saved him before a hint of wonder appeared in his face. When Mira saw him, she was instantly reminded of someone. Someone who happened to be somewhat close to her.
Her body froze. 'No! No! That face! Those eyes! That hair! It couldn't b-' Before she could even finish her thought, the world turned black.
(Heaven's Scene Change)
Mira, who was previously lying in her bed asleep, slowly twitched awake. Her tired yet beautiful blue eyes slowly opened as she pushed herself up and rubbed her eyes.
'What... What was that?' Slowly, she realized she had a dream. A terrifyingly unbelievable dream about her 'Servant'.
"There... There is no way that was real right? It was just a dream... It wasn't anything significant..." She muttered to herself dryly, even knowing that what she said was most likely a lie. There was no way something so vivid, something so clear, would appear in her dreams. Especially when there were people she had never met in her life in that drea- no. Memory...
Realization dawned her face as she stared at the red marks on her hand. Her servant had told her something about it before.
'The command seals connects both of us together huh...' She touched it and rubbed it in wonder. If what she assumed was true, then her servant was a sole survivor to a devastating event. The size of that fire was insane, burning down a whole city and killing everyone within it. She idly wondered about how he survived such an event and even thought about asking him about the whole thing when he came back before she heard a knock on her door wiping away those thoughts instantly.
"Hey Mira? Are you ready to head out yet?" She recognized that voice anywhere. A small smile graced her lips as she answered her sister while her previous negative thoughts were completely drowned due to her affection of her siblings.
"I'll be out in an hour Lisanna! I just woke up." She said to her sister. After a minute her sister responded with what seemed to be a cheery "Okay!" before her footsteps seemed to be getting further and further before it couldn't be heard anymore.
She stared at the command seals one last time on her hand. Everything was surreal. She didn't know what exactly Shirou had gone through, but she was willing to stand by his side. After all, he is family, isn't he?
Short chapters. Sadly, since this one class I failed during my freshman year (Physical Science) is a big pain and I have a total of 84 missing assignments piled up and it has to be finished before May 15th, chapters will only range from 1000-3000. Anyways, this wasn't as lengthy as I wanted it to be but I'll start paying attention to Mira's development slowly. Next chapter is Shirou.
