Chapitre 12: I just wanted you to smile
Seikatsu made all the effort from catching the fish to cooking it.
The bonfire kept them warm.
Clari was just sitting silently and glaring at him coldly.
Why did he have to tease me like that?
Seikatsu broke the silence by offering her food.
"Anata wa kore o taberu.." [You eat this..]
With presumptuous look, she replied "I'm not hungry!"
What's wrong with her? Is she mad at me for teasing her a while ago? But, I liked it.
He went to get a banana leaf, carefully got out the bones of the fish, and handed it to Clari with bowed head saying
"Kore o tabete kudasai! Eat. Please." [Eat this please!]
Glaring at him, she suddenly have an idea...
"Okay" she grab the food, "But first give me that!" She pointed at the coconut tree.
Seikatsu cast his eye on top of the tree and saw the coconut fruit.
It's too high! and, I can't use my abilities in front of her. But somehow he made up his mind. He sighed deeply and run towards the tree, climbing it without using his full strength.
It will be really hard to climb this when you're just a human. Thankful that I'm not.
Clari suddenly stood up in awe..
Wow! he didn't even need to cut the trunk for him to have a foothold.
Seikatsu got the fruit, droped it, and when he climbed down he went away for a while. Out of Clari's sight he strongly smashed the *buko on a rock causing it to crack in half.
He returned with a smile and Clari was still in awe..
"Koko ni arimasu." [Here it is] "Happy? Forgive me now?"
"I forgive you for now. But how did you do that? that was quite fast when you went up there."
"Huh? not fast. Just my normal....." I don't how to explain. I'm out of words, I don't know the translation.
"Normal what?"
"Kinishinaide." [Never mind] With a low and shy voice I added,
"Watashi wa anata ni egao o shitakatta" [I just wanted you to smile]
*buko, is a Filipino term for the coconut fruit
