Chapitre 33: Figuring things out
The date and day is over and they're back to their routine which is inside the abandoned factory, yesterday was the best day Lily had in her life and will probably be pushed off as the 2nd best later in the future.
"Okay, Lets start finding your power and it's potential!" Jack said to Lily after they have finished their basic exercise, though Jack said that they will be focusing on figuring out Lily's powers they still need to warm up.
"Tell me what you know about it so we can be on the same page." Patting the space in front of hi, Jack gestured Lily to sit.
Lily sat down on the place where Jack had asked her to and explained what she knew.
"Not much, i only know i have a certain control over a part of space near me, it's around 5 meter radius around me.
"It's like having a domain of my own, i get to sense every movement someone made inside making it almost impossible for someone to sneak up on me" Before Lily could explain further Jack interrupted.
"So all those sneak attacks I've succeeded is because you let me?"
Lily laughed and continued explaining after answering his question
"Of course, anyway, not only can i sense movement near me, i can stop it too though its probably because the thing I'm stopping is flies and mosquitoes. While i was experimenting with my powers, i figured out that i can make a space, like as big as a can of paint to be devoid of air."
Jack gasped at the sheer knowledge of Lily's power, if what she is saying is true which of course is, then her power may be greater than he imagined, stopping air from going in, it essentially means that if one cannot get out of her range of power, Lily can suffocate them to death!
"That's as far as my knowledge goes." Lily said with a smile on her face.
Jack sighed and decided to try increasing Lily's air suffocating power as it is probably the current strongest power she had
"Okay, we'll be trying to increase your control over your, lets call it domain, for one we should try anything we can think of...how about your suffocate ability?" Jack suggested
"But how?" Lily asked
"I don't really know, though i would love to help you but i don't have any experience in this kind of thing...unless" Jack stopped midway, making Lily ask "Unless what?"
Jack took a deep breath and steeled his mind to show her his biggest secret to help her.
"Don't be surprise about what I'm going to say and show, okay?"
Lily saw the seriousness in Jack's eye and became nervous herself, she suppress the anxiety in her mind and nodded
"I'm actually not a...human" Jack let out the bomb, Lily just kept staring at Jack's eyes she didn't seem to be that faltered by the information she just heard
"Are you not surprised?" He asked
"Yes but you told me yesterday that you won't use your power to fool me, that means this is your original body right? Even if you're not a human, you look like one and that's enough for me."
Jack showed a sign of relief he thought she would be more surprised but he guessed wrong, probably.
"Yes you're right but there is a something else, i have 2 bodies, one of them is this Jack body and the other, is this." Jack then reverted into his symbiote form which makes Lily gasped, hard.
"What.....is this you Jack?" Lily asked in confusion, she had never seen something like this before, something black and stretchy while gooey at the same time.
Transforming back into his human body, he explained.
"I'm partly human but also partly that, which i call as a symbiote, most of my powers came from that side, the weapon and face manipulation thing, it's from that." He stopped for a while then continued
"There's one unique thing about that side of me and it is that that part of me, is a parasite."
Seeing Lily out of words, Jack continued
"If I'm that state, i can possess a person, using their bodies at my disposal which is a wicked ability and that's not all, i can gain the ability of said person as long as i possess them long enough." Jack said, he wanted to get inside Lily and obtain her ability to try understanding it a bit, from his previous possessing session, he knew that if the ability is strong, he would need to be in the said person body long enough for him to get the power.
Dr.Genus case is different, there, Jack only wanted to get his memories of Immortality recipe not his power, if he have one that is, so just a quick in and out will do.
Lily caught up to Jack's mind as she asks "So you want to possess me and get my ability to help me master it?"
"Yeah, but don't worry i won't do anything else other than try to understand your ability while I'm in your body." Jack reassured her
Lily seemed like she as reluctant to do it but said ok nevertheless, after all she had trusted Jack so much, Jack asks her if she really wanted to do it but she kept answering yes.
He turned into his symbiotes form and came into Lily, gaining control over her body.
He opened up Lily's, currently his, eyes and looked around, everything seemed...different
He tried feeling up Lily's domain power and see for himself what it's really about, what Lily described should be an understatement of what she really felt!
Yes he could sense everything near him, around 5 meter radius but its more than just sensing, its like he is the area around him! He tried creating a space devoid of any air and found out that it is not that simple.
Creating a space without air means isolating it from anything on an atomic level which explains her ability properly, her power is atomic control!
She can control the atoms near her, using it to create a wall of atoms that blocked oxygen itself to come in, isolating it from the outside world!
Jack got out from Lily's body and could feel her power inside him though weaker in comparison, but he felt that he can increase it to her level pretty easily.
He knew that atoms are everything, literally, everything in this world is made from it, energy? Atoms, Mass? Atoms, Electricity? Atoms, Planets?! Atoms! Galaxies?! FREAKING ATOMS!
The power to control those little things means an immeasurable amount of power, depending on the limitations her power had and if, IF there is no limitations then she would basically be a.....
