The sun blazes down from an azure cloudless sky. The very land seemed to be boiling as if being cooked alive. The roads were scorched. The flowers have already withered away leaving behind only their parched root, however they are still some of them surviving on such weathers, the cactuses that surrounded the middle area of the Usman city.
The weather was devilish, but that did not stop the people from coming outdoors. Outside their cool comfortable houses, which lay in both sides of the road. Most of the houses were only two floors and had a different colour to the next house adding to the vibrant beauty of the city.
A young boy was unloading boxes of fresh fruit from a wooden cart. They was a sign post right next to his stall ` The Market District`. The market district was the largest district in the middle area out of all the four districts. It was bustling with activities since the very sun rose. All kind of stalls was littered in the area selling all type of things including; eswar, food, jewellery, slaves, weapons and armour, clothes and strange beasts that howled from time to time. The noise was surreal in the marketplace. people shouted, promoting their stock.
One of the dog clans beastmans that had a stall said." come my dear people, today I have unique eswar, it just came in right now straight from an ancient ruin far away from our city. The price is low. come and buy it before it runs out of stock."
Such was the life of the working-class people in the middle area. they worked very hard every day to support their family and themselves, however they had nothing to show. Most of the money would find itself in the pockets of the Usman clan under the pretext of taxes.
The people of the middle area didn`t know of the battle that was raging in the Outer skirts. However, they did see the army of enforcers marching to the outer skirts as they chanted "long live the Usman clan." Some people were discussing as why they would march an army of more than 100 strong men to the outer skirts?
The battles or problems of the outer skirts never affected the middle area. It was as if the outer skirts were never part of the city to begin with. However, this time the people of the city were wrong for feigning ignorance.
◇◇
At the outer skirts, At the docks in front of Mama`s restaurant. The battle was almost coming to end with only a handful of the enforcer`s holding on to their last breath. Some of the Happy gang members were also injured severely as they laid on the ground.
Keiser was still having trouble finding out the real disciple from the illusions as he was being bombarded by water projectiles every time he tried to concentrate, however he finally found a way. He had a big smile on his face. " I have finally figured out how your illusions work. Prepare yourself."
Keiser closed his eyes, unable to see anything. He could only use his other senses. All he could hear was shouts and cries, however he ignored all of those and focused on a single heart beat to the point where the only thing he was hearing was that heartbeat. ` swoosh` A huge light sword beam was released from his sword in the shape of an arc. it cut through three of the illusions causing them to dissipate.
"wrong again. such a foolish man. even though you have the ability. what's the point if you can`t damage me." The disciple laughed as he moved around trying to restore the illusion.
"I already told you. I figured out how your illusion works." keiser plunged his sword through the disciple, one with the weird form of the disciple.
All the illusions disappeared. The blade went through his stomach. he spilled blood from his mouth and held keiser`s sword with both hands." how did you figure it out?" he had regret on his face as he fell ` Thud`. Not uttering one more word.
" Well it was hard figuring it out. Every time I destroyed one or two of your illusions. You start to move around restoring the illusion again, however at that time only the real body was the one moving around while the rest seemed like moving around but they actually didn`t. If I didn't have my sharp senses, I would have not found you this easily." Keiser wiped the blood from his sword and looked at the battlefield. He looked at Roho`s side. The battle was at the end there as both disciples looked dishelved and had hopeless looks on their face. They looked the same. They were twins thought keiser.
He looked at Iman`s side and saw her using Hamil as a support. she seemed tired with a pained look on her face.
" My lady. You should not use you powers like this. The poison also harms you. we are here. we will do everything for you so please rest for now" Hamil had a caring look on his face as he led Iman back to the restaurant.
Keiser then looked at the Bartender`s side. The battle was in its` last breath.
The bartender had a calm look on his face. He had a tendency to always calculate the possibilities of the outcome of any situation. he weighed the pros and cons to any situation, never moving by emotions but rather logic and reasoning. Balkisa was panting as her dress was torn and blooding flowing from her legs and elbows. wounds made by arrows, normally such small wounds would heal fast, however this time the wounds ached and wasn't healing up. Balkisa feared the man in front of her. He seemed unmovable like a mountain.
"Damn you. you pushed me too far old man. You made me use this." she broke her bow in half and chanted a weird spell in a different language. Her eyeballs twitched around and disappeared. Her muscles tensed up as if she was having difficulties to breath. Her whole body felt like it was breaking apart. Water seeped out from her broken bow engulfing her. The same happened to all the disciples. Their weapons broke in half and water seeped out from it and engulfed them.
The huge ball of waters then rose up and flew towards Balkisa. Keiser and the rest were shocked when they saw this. The bartender never calculated such a possibility. He fixed his glasses awaiting what would step out of the huge water ball that was in front of him, floating up in the sky.
