Jay and the everyone else from Golden Phoenix decided to gather near the front gate of the village together with the villagers since they were curious what these bandits were going to do. When they arrived, they saw everyone from the village, some were even crying.
Jay then saw the others, including Nuggets and Heda who were both busy eating whatever the villagers gave them.
"Guys, prepare for a fight. But protecting the villagers is our priority for now." Jay said in a hushed voice.
When the village chief heard him, he immediately became worried and approached them.
"Young master and the rest, please do not worry about us. Just leave while we deal with these guys."
Everyone from Golden Phoenix refused him and Jay said, "Nonsense! It's just some bandits! Let us handle it." Just as the village chief was going to rebuke him...

Outside Ulruk village, near the front gate...
More than 50 bandits wearing iron armor sets were rallied behind someone riding on a large black horse. The guy riding on the horse was wearing a strange type of armor set made out of steel. The strange thing with his armor set was that the helmet was shaped like a lion's head. His gauntlets had spikes around it. The armor set the guy was wearing was also dyed in a dark red color.
He then shouted...
"MEN, LIGHT UP THE TOWERS! SHADOWMERE, DESTROY THAT WEAK PIECE OF S**T BLOCKING US!"
Two of the bandits suddenly took out their bow and some arrows. For some strange reason, these bandits knew how to use magicka and started gathering it at the tip of their arrows. Due to this, the arrows got ignited and they shot it while aiming at the sentry towers near the gates.

When everyone in the village heard the shout, most of the villagers ran away due to fear. Just as they were about to run, the sentry towers was suddenly set ablaze by some arrows.
"RUN!"
One of the villagers shouted and they started running. May it be the elderly, children, or the pregnant women, they ran away. But some of the village's men, including their chief did not ran away, but instead, stood still.
The ones who remained was everyone from Golden Phoenix, the village chief, the blacksmith Balimor, the soldier Delvin, and 30 other men. The villagers was holding on something that can be used as a weapon. Pitchforks, knives, etc.
After Jay and the rest prepared themselves, the front gate suddenly got destroyed while a man riding in a black horse galloped through. Then 50 bandits followed.
The villagers who was supposed to prepare themselves for a fight saw that these bandits were not the usual ones. These ones were wearing armor.
"No... Why? God, why is this happening?" One of the men said as he dropped on the ground and pissed himself.
But the one who was the most shocked from the bandits was not the villagers, it was Jay.
"Bloodfang! Why is he here? S**T! Am I too late?" Jay asked himself as he looked at a very familiar face. The one riding the black horse, Bloodfang.
Bloodfang was one of the most famous mini bosses in Dungeons and Towers of Fate since almost every player had to go deal with him the moment they reached level 35. No matter where the player is, an event will trigger where Bloodfang, together with a random number of bandits, will surround the player and rob him. If the system was still active, a hidden expert-ranked quest called 'Encounter with Bloodfang' will immediately trigger.
This quest had two parts. The first part is where the player must kill all the bandits, including Bloodfang. The second part was the troublesome one. It was where the player will learn that Bloodfang was actually a hired mercenary from the Kingdom of Holtheim. After this quest was completed, the player will receive notifications like 'you are now hostile towards the Kingdom of Holtheim' or 'You are now a wanted person in the Kingdom of Holtheim'
While Jay was having a headache thinking about what might have caused this event to happen early, the bandits finished entering the village. Bloodfang got of his horse and said to the ones who remained, "Pay your tribute to the Bloodfang Bandits if you do not want us to kill everyone in this s**thole you call a village. 100 coppers per person, 50 coppers per child and baby. Also prepare a feast for us!"
Just as the village chief was about to speak, Jay suddenly spoke up.
"I have another proposition. Me and my friends against you and your pathetic army."
The bandits laughed at Jay. But just as Bloodfang was going to start badmouthing Jay, Jay took out a gold coin.
"HOLy S***T! BOSS! A GOLD COIN!" One of the bandits lost his cool as he started drooling at the sight of the gold coin.
Jay spoke up again. "I have 10 Gold Coins with me right now. If you win, its yours and you can leave this village alone. But if you lose..."
Jay then approached Bloodfang and whispered something to him. When Bloodfang heard what Jay whispered to him, he started sweating like crazy.
"How, how do you know of it?" Bloodfang asked Jay as he looked at him like some kind of demon.
Jay then smiled at him and replied, "I have my sources. Now, shall we begin?"
But just as everyone from Golden Phoenix was preparing for a fight...
"EVERYONE, RETREAT! NOW! MOVE THAT A*S! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING! RETREAT!"
Bloodfang shouted loudly as he immediately ran away.
No one knows what happened, but they just saw the bandits running away. Just like that.
The villagers dropped on their knees and said to themselves, "It's over? What?"
While everyone had their own thoughts, Jay told the members of Golden Phoenix information about those bandits and told them what he did to make Bloodfang run away.
"I told him that I work for Count Griscar the IV, someone from the Kingdom of Holtheim. To tell you guys the truth, it was just a gamble of mine whether he will run away or not if I tell him this."
Roasted Boar and the rest sighed when they heard Jay's explanation. They even wondered to themseleves, "Does he even need us? At first, he killed a necromancer with words... Now, he made bandits run away with words..."
While everyone had their own thoughts, including Jay, he did not know that something else is happening near the village. Something big...
