Chapitre 13: An Unexpected Turn of Events! #1
"Hey! give that back" a child's voice rang, disturbing the peacefulness of the large group. All around dozens of heads turned towards the voices and laughter where you could see two children who looked to be about 14 or 15, running after them was a smaller sized little boy, with chubby cheeks and large grey eyes with even larger glasses framed around them
This large group of about fifteen were sitting around a warm fire that strangely produced no smoke. The adults of the group ignored the children playing and returned to their conversations seemingly used to this type of commotion, while the children continued to tease the four-eyed child but just as one of the women in the group was about to reprimand the two bullies, a horrendous sound came from their backs
These people were sent by the Human King as investigators of the event that took place here weeks ago, they were sent to find and capture the rumoured mutated Six-Tailed Fox so in this group there was a particularly strong bunch
Within no time at all the soldiers of the group had grabbed their weapons and armour and surrounded the non-combat specialist in the group, which included the children that were sent here by their families to gain experience. One particular man, the leader of this mission had not moved from his position in front of all the others, his legs were shaking, the grip on his spear tightened to nearly a point of injury and his face turned grim. This mission was his first in the role of leader, he was assigned to this by his father so that he could make his debut as a warrior and join the Entrance Exams with experience and a glory under his belt
This mission was an easy one because a fox with six tails was nothing compared to him even though his cultivation realm was not that his he still had his family treasure that could take down someone thrice his size.
He was confident enough that he even brought the children of their family enders with him on this trip to show off the difference between then and him but the aura in the air and the powerful roar that still echoed in the forest paralyzed him for head to toe. The fighters under his command were experienced and well trained that was why they reacted as they did with such bloodlust in the air but he had only spared with his trainers and was still green when it came to fighting
More than a few people in the non-combat section of the group could not handle such dense bloodlust and had passed out from fear, so they could not escape from their current position. One of the guards stepped towards their leader with difficulty, straining his muscles "Sir, what is our course of action?"
The man was unresponsive and the guard could not see his face so he continued thinking that the young master did not know about the situation that was why he had not issued any orders, but the sad truth was that his body would not move at all, no matter how hard he tried
"Judging from the aura it seems like we've encountered a beast that is level 5 or above, it's rare for such a beast to be in this part of the world so if I had to guess, a very powerful person has come from the void to investigate the same thing we are, nearly 10 of our ranks is immobilized due to the oppression of the bloodlust, so our option of a successful escape is not available, what are your orders Sir? should we try out hand at escaping while carrying the unconscious or should we stay and try to negotiate with them?"
The man's mouth was shaking trying to get himself and his body under control, and just as he was about to reply loud thumps could be heard, getting closer and closer until a large orange figure, highlighted by the moonlight could be seen by the group. The figure knocked down all in its path and crushed anything in its way
"Si- Sir your orders!?" yelled the guard while pointing his weapon towards the giant figure heading straight for them. All the people cautiously took steps back in pace with the loud stomps, their faces frozen and damped with cold sweat, their hearts thumping loudly until it could be heard by the person beside them
