"I can't believe you made me do that" Chris said as he leaned back in his chair. "I have worked so hard to earn that job. Now, it's Gone with the Wind. How do I pay my bills? Christ, what would my father say if he hears of my foolishness?"

"I am sure he would be turning in his grave with anger," Pinna added as she dropped the potatoes stew on the table.

They were back at Chris's house, which was the only safe place at the moment. Matt had sneaked to his own house a few times to get supplies, and one or two times he had run into some Glut-Hunter who were sent to kill him. If he didn't know the nooks and cranny of the city, he probably would be lying in some kind of cell at the moment. His only problem however was the neighbors living around. Since most of them have the Happy-Tech, it was difficult to mingle among them. They were running out of food and buying one was as tough as finding water in the desert.
