"Why vanilla, it's so plain?"
"Why chocolate, isn' it too sweet?" Jaime quipped back.
"How dare you desecrate the holy chocolate take that back."
"Sheesh can't even take a joke. Anyway, what's the plan now?"
"Honestly I don't know. I was hoping that if what we write is the reality wanted to take advantage of it but that plan went down the drain. Then I still have to talk to Hayato."
"'That' Hayato? Why are you even talking with him?"
"Oh yeah, you were out of the loop. Well, I guess I will keep it that way, you will find why in the next week or so. Only thing I am gonna say is it's not gonna be pretty. Hmm, maybe it will depend on your perspective."
"Stop mumbling nonsense and why 'I' am out of the loop in the first place?" Jaime asked while taking a bite from her ice cream.
"Because it is unnecessary for you to know." Jaime punched him on the shoulder.
"Are you ever gonna stop being a dick!?"
"No?" Then he was punched by her yet again.
"Fine do whatever you want I don't care." Jaime then went ahead by herself.
Linri did not chase after her and slowly made his way home. He was relaxed, normally by now he would be thinking about what was his next move going to be or how he could get stronger but now that he lost his desire he was just having fun. There was also the fact that at least his next couple of plans were done and just needed him to start implementing them. He decided to keep being relaxed like this at least till the start of school.
His phone vibrated suddenly. He had just received a message. Seeing the contents of it his mood could not help but turn sour. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. It was a text from Hayato or at least he assumed it was from him considering it was an unknown number and it only had a time and place in it. Seems like he needed to sneak out tonight. Then Linri kept on eating his ice cream delightedly and went home.
It was a usual dinner without any shenanigans. They happily ate the dinner made some small talk. His father and mother went to the living room to watch TV and he went back to his room to read books. It was something accepted normal by now to spend a night like this. Sometimes they would go out to the park to have fresh air but tonight was not one of them. As usual, Linri got ready for the talks with Hayato thinking of possible questions and the answers he could give to them. It really wasn't hard considering he had 2 things Hayato would die for in his hands. The location of Six and the data for a super soldier program. The answer was what he was going to do with it. I mean Swindler18 was not really explicit about Hayato's goal in life. He was just playing him as the usual hacker info broker but what would really happen if he had enough power?
That was a question he did not know the exact answer to but he also had some conjectures about it. He wasn't really sure but he was betting on Hayato's hate for the super soldier program so when they finish the operation instead of hoarding the data he might want to destroy it and help Kristian out of sympathy. At least he was hoping that he wouldn't sell the information to a country upon acquiring it if some private force acquires it Linri was still fine with that considering he could just go and destroy them himself in the future but if it was a country that would be bad. A third world war might even happen but this time with super soldiers.
Seeing that he started to worry about the future again Linri took a deep breath he calmed himself. He was going to overthink things again so it was best to stop now. He also could not help but curse his real father inwardly, it was because of his 'training' that he would constantly feel nervous whenever he felt like he was not in control of a situation, just like now.
It was 1 am when Linri quietly sneaked out of his room through the window. If they were awake Arkady could probably tell that he was leaving but he was a teenager, it would actually be weird that if he kept sitting at home without doing anything. Oh yeah thinking about it where were the real Linri's friends? He had not written anything about it but he should have some right, after all, there were some numbers on his phone that he did not know who they belonged to. I mean yeah he knew the names but that was about it when he checked the message histories of them most of them were empty and the others had only trivial questions. There were not any real content to them and considering he did not really get any messages since he arrived here does that mean he was unpopular? Why though? He was obviously handsome so even if the males where unwilling he should have at least have some girl friends right? Don't tell me Linri was a mommy's boy and he never really interacted with others unless it was necessary thinking that his family was enough?
While he was thinking about it Linri finally arrived at Brixton, according to the message he had to go to a pub named Trinity Swords or something. When he finally found it Linri found that it was still open and there wasn't security guarding the place or did the security thing only happened at clubs? Well, he was antisocial so he did not really know that much considering he didn't go to pubs before he was 18 and at the time he wouldn't even remember if they asked him his ID since it was something trivial. Though he was sure that if he wanted to drink something he had to show his ID to the Barkeeper that's for sure.
Linri walked inside and picked an empty table by random and a waiter asked him if he wanted anything to drink. After his partial awakening, Linri had matured quite a bit so he really looked like he was old enough to drink and considering it was so late the guy didn't even think it was a minor sitting in front of him.
Since he could order beer Linri was happy so he quickly ordered a pint and started to wait.
"It's nice finally meeting you ghost" A man in a black hoodie said after suddenly sitting in front of him.
I am against Under-age drinking and in no way support it. If you are a minor please stay away from alcohol.
