PROLOGUE : Betrayal or Love ?
Seeing all the blood XiaoAi suddenly feels a need for oxygen as she tries to calm down remembering her training. Not able to process everything that happened in front of her eyes her legs slowly start limping towards the open window as fast as they can making a desperate attempt of escape when she hears a faint voice calling out to her.
"Xiao....XiaoAi", her beloved man lying in a pool of blood calling out to her was enough to shake her heart and sending her brain to a frenzy. Seeing him her legs stop moving towards the windows and change their direction and automatically start moving towards him without even confirming if the man in front of her is really the man she loves.
XiaoAi calls out his name in a soft and faint voice with a nervous tone, " Lu Xiang?...Is that you?", when the images of 'that' man and the words 'he' said flash through her mind and she comes to a halt realising that her actions might put Lu Xiang is danger to an extent that he might even lose his life. She turns her body in the opposite direction but is not able to move after listening to his voice full of pain.
Her head starts to feel extremely heavy making it hard for her to even turn or shift her head.
Everything starts going black when suddenly XiaoAi hears a dripping sound coming from behind her.
She slowly turns and sees a bloody face ....It was Lu Xiang with blood dripping from his forehead.
"Why did you do it? .....Just why?", asks Lu Xiang in soft but icy tone, his eyes full of pain,
XiaoAi seeing his face felt like her whole world was crashing down at any moment. The only person she never wanted to hurt was in unconditional pain because of her shortcomings and this was something she could never endure.
Suddenly a loud noise or rather a frequency high enough to fry a person's brain wakes a scared XiaoAi up.
Sweat dripping all over her body as she hears a familiar voice calling out to her and tries to identify that person through her blurry vision. Her eyes completely red and her lungs begging for oxygen as if they will die any second.
Finally after a couple of seconds her vision becomes clear enough to identify that person as her roommate and best friend Min Liang.
Being able to see Min Liang gave XiaoAi a warm feeling in her heart, but suddenly a wave of memories flowed through her mind reminding her the cruel truth of her existence.
Seeing her best friend in that state again and again was like a nail being stabbed through Min Liang's heart and even though she tried her best to help she knew the only thing required by her friend to come out of this long sheet of darkness is the something that has forced her to this point.
"Are you alright?.....Did you have that nightmare again?, asks Min Liang in a worried voice after seeing the pain her friend was in.
XiaoAi simply nods and shows an awkward smile full of lonliness to her best friend.
The only thought that came to Min Liang's mind seeing her bestfriend was a question 'When will she understand it was not her fault?....When will she forgive herself?'
