Samael started looking around the plaza, seeing many people walking around. Others were checking the stalls that are set up, each of them with different wares.
"One fried fish, please." Samael bought some food along the way.
There weren't many things that interested him, he saw jewelries, clothes, weapons and even cultivation arts being sold on these stalls. As he continued to walk around he found himself near one of the famous place in the city.
"I guess i could check their merchandise." Samael walked inside the building with the big sign "Golden Leaf" on top of the door.
As he walked inside, he quickly saw shelves of weapons neatly arranged. On his right side were, Swords, daggers, axes while on his left were Spears, halberds Staves and there were shields and bows mounted on the wall. The blue tags on them caught Samael's attention.
"Wondering why the blue tags?" Suddenly he heard a woman's voice.
He turned around and saw a young woman, she was slightly shorter than him and her hair was a mix of black and brown colors in a pony-tail. She looked honest and feisty, wearing a plain white robes that fitted her sexy figure which heightened her charms.
"Yeah." Samael nodded with a smile.
"The blue ones are the normal wares we sell and the cheapest. Next to them are yellow, red then violet and you can find them in the floors above."
"Hmm...thank you. I'll take my time looking around." Samael was impressed with how organised the store was.
"Alright, don't hesitate to call when you want to buy something." The girl said smiling and walked away.
Samael chuckled as he saw her walk away and then he began looking around. Natural, he found nothing that roused his interest in these cheap goods but he was satisfied with their designs. He then went up and saw the "Yellow" goods.
"Spirit Weapons...Mortal to Iron ranks" Samael nodded in satisfaction.
Spirit weapons were essential weapons for any cultivators as they can provide great help with their offensive capabilities. These weapons are divided into ranks commonly known as Mortal, Iron, Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
Looking around, the weapons are arranged the same way as the floor below. He quickly moved to the spear section and saw a shelf with a wide variety of spears. These spears varied in length, flexibility, and strength.
But Samael was dissatisfied with the spears he saw as the design of the weapon went against the overall practicality of the weapon. Some spears were longer but their spearhead was large and extravagant which made the weapon imbalanced. Others were just the right length and the spearhead was just right too but the problem was the useless engraving covering the whole piece.
Samael sighed and just went to the sword section, though he doesn't practice the sword, both swords and spears do share some similarities.
He saw short and long swords, rapiers, sabers, and traditional Chinese swords and he even saw a great sword. But a particular sword did catch his eye, it was rather thin compared to an ordinary short sword, it was slightly curved. Samael took the sword and unsheathed it, then its beauty was revealed to him, it was a Katana.
Samael loved the slight curve and beautiful finish on the blade, his only concern was the cheap, ordinary materials that were used to forge the weapon itself. Sighing he placed the weapon back on the shelf and went down.
"Nothing caught your fancy, sir?" The young girl who greeted him walked up and asked.
"There was one but I wasn't sure about its durability." Samael looked disappointed but he still smiled to prevent her from getting the wrong Idea.
"Then why not have it Order Made?" She said.
Then it clicked into Samael. "Right, this store is also a Blacksmith store!"
"Alright, then how much is for the commission?" He asked.
The girl beamed with a smile because of a new potential customer "Depends on the materials you wish to use, sir."
Samael placed his left hand on his mouth and thought for a while before asking "What materials does your Golden Leaf have?"
The girl then pulled out a catalog and pointed to the materials that they provide. Ordinary metals, Frost Silver steel, Dark Silver steel. They even use archaic beast materials such as the bones of a Blaze Lion beast or a White Bone Mountain Bear.
"Hmm...how much is it if Dark Silver Steel is used to make a Iron-rank Spear?" Samael asked.
"150 gold coins." the girl replied.
Samael thought for a while, he furrowed his brows as if he had a problem. Well...he does have a problem. Because he had always stayed inside the castle, he hasn't learned the common sense of this realm. He didn't know about the currency of the world yet. 150 gold coins...is that too much or too little???
"If you can't pay in gold, you can always pay using Archaic beast core. 3 yellow archaic beast core"
What she said made Samael remember something. When he first came to this world, he was still filled with the foreign essence of his own realm which filled him with strength and that allowed him to kill a powerful archaic beast. It was also then that he met the Princess and back then he instinctively took care of that beast.
Samael waved his hands and took out the core from his storage ring. It was red in color!
"Th-this is too much sir!" She gasped after seeing the red core.
"Then can I have another weapon then?" Samael felt happy.
"Sir, you can exchange two more weapons." The girl was happy too. It was rare that she could attend to someone like Samael who was a moneybag.
"Is that so? Then I would a Katana and a pair of gauntlets, also made in Dark Silver Steel."
"Do you have any specification for these weapons, it's on the house." The girl knew that she had to leave a good impression on this important customer.
"Have the length of the spear to be regular in length but the Spearhead is a foot and a half. The Katana should be six feet in length and the gauntlets, have them be like finger less gloves."
"Would that be all?" She noted things down and asked.
"Yup." Samael nodded.
"Please come back in 5 days to receive the weapon." She bowed to him.
"Alright, five days then." Samael smiled and walked out of the building, happy with his upcoming new weapons.
Noticing the time, he sped up towards the testing grounds and saw the Princess and Julian in front. The Princess was tapping her foot, seemingly pissed. Samael felt a foreboding headache.
"Where have you been!?" it was like an explosive blew up. Behind her, Julian snicked at his misfortune.
"Hurry up, we almost got late." Princess Lina pulled on his ear as they walk inside the venue.
"Ow! Ow! Sister Lina, mercy." Samael pleaded.
"Humph." Finally, after some pleading, she let go of his ears.
Princess Lina opened the huge door in front of them and the three of them walked inside. They saw numerous people, numbering in the hundreds. They all looked at them when the door opened. Princess Lina was at the center, walking beautifully and attracting the gaze of countless males. Very few could hide their desire to come up to her but before they could do anything a cold stare enveloped them.
It was Julian, he was like a predator that was ready to pounce on them should they move even just a little.
After passing their gazes on the two in front, they saw a third person coming in with them. He was rubbing his right ear but that didn't stop a few young women from blushing when they saw him. After all, Samael is attractive with his sharp handsome look and well-toned yet not-so-muscular body.
"Hey, who is that guy?"
"Is he a friend of the Princess and Lord Julian?"
"Have you seen his cultivation?"
"4-star Body refinement! Why is trash like him with the Princess?"
Suddenly many people started asking whoever was beside them and murmured to the others. Soon, it was everybody inside the venue judged Samael for his low cultivation level.
"You're not welcome, brat." Julian didn't forget to tease Samael.
"Heh." Samael shrugged his shoulder, he didn't say a word but it was very clear.
He didn't care what these people thought of him, or how they judged him. As long as they don't cross his bottom line then no harm would come to them. In the end, he would use his strength to claim the opportunity to enter the Academy.
Strength is what mattered.
