Kaito chapter 76

Shifting his focus to Team from Kiri, Kaito's was particularly curiosity about Mangetsu Hozuki. In the anime, it was said that he was the most talented swordsman Kiri had ever produced and was capable of wielding all Seven Swords of the Mist. He was even hyped up to be at Kage level when he died. "If I remember correctly, he died around 15 or 16 years old," Kaito recalled.

Despite his reputation, there wasn't much known about Mangetsu other than what Suigetsu and Kabuto had hyped him during the fourth shinobi war. Using the kagura's minds eye, Kaito located Mangetsu and saw that he was finishing up the test and Mangetsu was using water to reflect and magnify the answers from a planted chunin. With this technique, he was also helping his team complete the test without getting caught for cheating. "Clever tactics" kaito thought.

...

After some time observing Mangetsu, Kaito shifted his focus to the other participants. "Might as well see if anyone stands out," he thought as he used his Kagura's minds eye to scout the area. He spotted a team from Kumogakure using a reflector on the ceiling light to cheat off a planted Chunin for answers. Amongst the bustling test-takers, many were attempting to cheat off their neighbors but were quickly caught by the proctors. Kaito then turned back to his own team and noticed that Hotaru had finished her test and was now discreetly using her Byakugan to observe the others while keeping her head down. Kaito used sign language to tell her "Good job." Hotaru smiled and nodded in response

Meanwhile Inoichi Yamanaka was diligently keeping an eye on all the participants. His sharp gaze landed on the members of Team 11 and he couldn't help but think to himself, "That must be Shikaku's team." With keen interest, Inoichi watched as they quickly finished the test "It only took them under 30 minutes," he thought to himself. "I'm sure the planted chunin haven't even finished answering the all the questions yet" Clearly, Shikaku wasn't exaggerating when he said that his team was made up of prodigies.

Inoichi continued to observe the other participants, noting how some were eliminated for getting caught cheating. He also kept a close eye on team 11, curious to see what their approach to the exam was. He saw Kaito who looked to be meditating, Hotaru with her head down in concentration probably using her byakugan to observe the others, and Itachi discreetly observing and analyzing the others around them. It was clear that this team was not to be underestimated.

After another 30 minutes passed, Inoichi suddenly interrupted the participants, declaring, "Alright, put your pencils down. Your time is up." The room fell silent as everyone looked towards him, only about 40 percent of the original participants remained.

Just then, a figure appeared in a puff of smoke next to Inoichi. This person wore sunglasses and had spiky short black hair with a moustache. He wore a high collared coat with front pockets and carried a gourd on his back. With his hands casually tucked into his coat's pocket pockets.

Inoichi gestured towards the man and announced, "Please leave your papers on the desk and follow our proctor for the second stage of the chunin exam."

The room fell silent as a participant raised his hand and questioned the purpose of the first test. "What is the point of the first test if we are just going to be automatically passed to the second one?" he asked, garnering nods of agreement from others in the room.

Inoichi, the proctor of the exam, shook his head and replied, "The first stage is designed to test your information-gathering skills. Every mission's success depends on accurate and timely information. Faulty information can lead to the death of your entire team."

He continued, "As most of you have realized, the questions on the test are beyond the level that a genin could answer. That is why we have planted a few chunins among you." As he spoke, six individuals stood up from their seats and made their way to the front of the room.

Inoichi paused for a moment and chuckled before adding, "And who said you all passed the first stage of the exams? You will also be judged on the quality of information you gathered during this test. Your results will not be revealed until after the second stage. This means that even if your team passes the second stage, you will fail if any member of your team fails to pass this test."

The realization that they might fail even if they passed the second stage caused some outcry from the participants, but it was quickly silenced by Inoichi as he sternly reminded them, "Every mission's success hinges on the accuracy of information gathered by you or your team. Faulty information can lead to grave consequences for both you and those undertaking the mission."

The man with sunglasses cleared his throat, demanding attention from the group. "Alright, now that's settled, please follow me," he said before leading them out of the room with a nod to Inoichi. The participants followed him slowly, their minds buzzing with thoughts.

Kaito reunited with Itachi and Hotaru, who had been waiting for him at the entrance of the room. He smiled and asked, "How did you guys do?" as they followed the man in sunglasses.

Itachi nodded confidently. "It was quite easy."

Hotaru agreed, "Yes, it wasn't too difficult."

As they left the academy building behind and leaped through the trees, following the man in sunglasses, Kaito continued chatting with his friends until they reached their destination.

As they continued to jump through the trees, the group finally reached a gated forest. As they arrived, the man wearing glasses turned to them and greeted in a calm voice, "Good, everyone is here. My name is Shibi Aburame and I will be the proctor for the second part of the Chunin exams."

Kaito, who was standing among his team, recognized the man as Shino's father and thought to himself, "Ah, so he is Shino's dad."

Shibi gestured towards the forest and announced, "This is the location for the second part of the exam - Training Ground 44, better known as the Forest of Death."

He then pulled out a stack of forms and handed them to one of the participants. "Please pass these around," he instructed.

As the forms were being distributed, Shibi began explaining, "Now, as I go over what you will be doing in this test, please read over this form thoroughly and sign it."

"To put it simply, the second stage is a survival test," he explained with a serious expression. Then, he produced two scrolls from his pocket one white and the other black. "Each team will be assigned one of these scrolls. In order to pass the second stage, you must have both scrolls when you reach the tower located in the center of this vast training ground."

"You have five days to complete this task. However, you are not allowed to open the scrolls until you reach the tower or you will be automatically disqualified," Shibi added as he adjusted his glasses. His gaze swept over the group, his words carrying weight and importance.

"This test is designed to assess your endurance, survival skills, and reliability. As chunin, there may come a time when you must handle top secret missions." He paused for any questions.

One participant spoke up with a pressing concern. "Is killing allowed?"

Shibi's answer was firm and unwavering. "Yes, killing is permitted in this test."

"Remember," he continued, "this is a simulation of real-life situations that may occur on missions. Now, if you have signed the consent form, please submit it at the booth over there and receive your assigned scroll." He gestured towards a booth set up nearby.

Kaito turned to his team after hearing the explanation and asked as they seperated from the others to sigh the form, "Has anyone been here before?" Hotaru shook her head, her long black hair swaying with the movement. Itachi's expression was thoughtful as he replied, "Hai, I have been here with Shisui before. He used to bring me here to teach me tracking." Kaito nodded, a plan forming in his mind. "Well then, Itachi, you should take the lead since you know this place." Hotaru and Itachi both nodded in agreement.

Kaito leaned against a large boulder and asked the group, "So any suggestions on how we should go about this?" Hotaru furrowed her brows in deep thought while Itachi's eyes scanned the area. After a moment, Hotaru spoke up, "Hmm, we should head straight to the tower and set an ambush for the other teams." Itachi's expression showed he was also thinking the same thing. "Hai, I believe that would be our best course of action. All teams will have to pass us to get to the tower, making them easy pickings for us."

Kaito nodded in approval and added, "That's a good plan. But i think we should also make sure to display our scroll to lure other teams towards us. that way if we are attacked on the way to the tower we don't waste time fighting a team that doesn't have the scroll we need." both itachi and hotaru nodded to his suggestion,

Team 11 quickly signed their consent form and summited it to receive a heaven scroll, they made sure to display the heaven scroll it prominently after they received it and as they waited for the second part of the exams to begin.
