King of gods, is it good in your opinion? I'm trying to look for more novels to read. Thanks.

I can't help it... Back then all I know in the Chinese myth came from IET's novels. Plagiarist only sprinkled a few chapters like Salt Bae in CPoD. It was so refreshing to read the myth in "that" perspective lol. Also also, when Spirit Stones were still a thing here, I've read around half Way of Choices and Joy of Life side by side... Minghe was a great palate cleanser.

It was not just him. The six Saints could not deduce the Heavenly Dao even if they worked together! That was because the deduction itself relied on the power of the Heavenly Dao!

Ahhh I see so it was Yellow Emperor's era. I'm curious, in the original Fengshen, was there a mentor/s to Suiren, Fuxi, Yu the Great and Shennong? ... Thanks so much!

why is MC calling them "fellow daoists" when he thinks himself as a mortal who cannot cultivate?! TL oversight, or author plot hole? hmmm

"Fellow Daoists, there's no need to trouble yourselves. Help us register as the Immortal's Destiny Small Shop."

Ordinary? You are already aware of the levels you have reached in your professions. Urgh I can't suspend my disbelief ..

After all, those paintings, those calligraphy, in his view, were indeed just ordinary things!

I can't be bothered to argue with you.

[In the catacomb behind, there's a Potato Monster. This Potato Monster is covered in potatoes, and it's the kind that can be eaten. However, if you eat it, you will be poisoned.]

it can be eaten, but you will be poisoned. huh??? why is it described as something edible then?? and this comes under the premise that Klein already has immunity against many kinds of poisons... the frick??

At first, the story is ok. MC is lucky because in addition to the hints provided by the Catacomb World itself, it looks like there's an add-on for him. With the additional info, he can plan ahead and reduce the risks when exploring the catacombs. However, it degrades pretty quickly. The add-on hints cannot be more spoon-feed-y. I feel that the add-on hints were the words of the author himself dictating where character should go, and how to interact with the world. And I mean in a not-very-subtle way. It literally tells the MC that this character has no ill-intentions towards him so that he can trust her, and vice-versa. You can imagine those people that watch TV dramas, they scream at the machine, hoping that the character/s would move the way the audience want to. However, instead of the show going according to the script - in this novel, the MC moves only through the "HINTS". <this frog is stupid, you can bribe it so that it will betray its own people, and tell you all of their weaknesses>. MC did as he was told, and god darn it was SOOOO effective. Nevermind that the frog wasn't abused like some untalented young master from a fallen family, it was even ranked 3 out of dozens of its clanspeople. It told the MC every little thing ! And the weird part is, the poison can be counteracted by steam. Lol. If that's the case, then can't the MC just use large amounts of sand or rocks to block the poison spit? So stupid. As if that's really the ONLY way... And it's not like they can produce venom endlessly, either. MC can just dodge in the air and counterattack with flames .. No room for creativity at all. You'd really wonder how other people can survive. They don't have that extra HINT yet they're doing just fine! Suuuure some people get poisoned, and had to be saved by MC sending them antidotes whatever, but daym they are just like 4 people within a regional population of 1000 TLDR: the HINTS are the rules of the world. If the HINT says a waterfall spirit can be killed with a water blade, then no amount of fire can evaporate that waterfall spirit. (yes this happened, not making this one up, as well as the previous examples above)
